Feedback

[edit]

Hi

I've seen your edits on the Byzantine Empire page. My advice is if you get reverted once, to take it to the Talk page to get other people to support you. On the topic of languages, because this is something I've looked into, there was many languages like Illyrian spoken in the regions and this is covered in Languages of the Roman Empire. But due to the amount that were spoken, we are only listing the main ones used by the state as it's not practical and confusing to list them all. Also, just because an emperor came from an area does not mean they used that language (even through the Illyrian emperors were some of the most consequential the empire had) the. Finally, we use secondary sources to support why we write things the way we have, and based on my reading of Rochette Illyrian is not a major language that merits being listed next to Latin. You have knowledge and motivation, which we need for improving the articles here, so I look forward to your future contributions! Biz (talk) 19:33, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
