General of the Armies[edit]

I found your wording awkward and unclear. The whole section actually needs work. Congress authorizes ranks. The president appoints officers. The Senate confirms the selection of general officers. Besides that, the legislation creating the "General of the Armies" rank specifically states that this rank is not to be used again. Feel free to work on it, though. Matthew Shepard and University of Wyoming[edit]

Hello, you have been removing Matthew Shepard from the University of Wyoming article. You say that he isn't a notable alumnus. If you would care to post your "verifiable information," the rest of us may be able to determine whether your assertion has any validity.
