Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Spookmagook. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about in the article Gary Little, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies.

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. The nature of your previous interactions with Little, as disclosed on my user talk page, make clear that you are not a neutral editor with respect to this article.C.Fred (talk) 18:15, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest and neutral observer

[edit]

Fred I can find nothing that indicates that I am I consider myself after fifty years a neutral observer. I certainly have no conflicts of interest whatsoever. I am actually adding to already established sources with a first hand account . Which despite your despite your Alice in Wonderland view of my "perception", my account is accurate and objective in nature. I have no fungible interest nor friends , no groups or other interests represented . No lawyers , no lawsuits intended. Nothing that would imply a conflict of interest.

   My encounter with Gary, and discussions with others almost 30 years ago are accurate and not a view point. I just want to set the record , with some semblance of reality . Given the perceptions on this page that you wish to project as accurate perhaps it would be better to shut this site down?

Frankly, when the Court sealed the records and the Citizens of the State responded two years later with referendum to correct this from happening again it was a good day.

If you have no connection to the subject, then how are you able to provide first-hand accounts? And how can you claim to have had an encounter with him? Again, Wikipedia operates based on published sources, not original research or first-hand accounts. You must abide by those guidelines to edit here. —C.Fred (talk) 00:36, 7 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
