Fair use rationale for File:AliCenterPeaceWall.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:AliCenterPeaceWall.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:49, 1 January 2010 (UTC)

Christ Myth

Hi you were active on the Christ Myth page during the month of december. It would be helpful to everyone if you indicated how you felt the conversation went in December Talk:Christ_myth_theory#Dec_5th_poll. Thanks in advance jbolden1517Talk 11:59, 3 January 2010 (UTC)

NuLu

Just noticed that you undid a lot of the changes that I made to the NuLu site. I understnad that wikipedia is not a place for blatant advertising but I do not think that listing attractions in the area falls under that heading. There were also sections, such as the events heading, that certainly aren't considered advertising. If they were, there could be no mention of the Kentucky Derby Festival or any other events on the Louisville pages. Please let me know your thoughts and what can be done to improve the NuLu page. Thanks, Chris Schulzch (talk) 18:23, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

I reverted the whole lot because the inclusion of so much apparent advertising made the rest of the changes suspect. Feel free to add back non-advertising content. Listing of notable attractions is fine, but simply listing a lot of businesses in the vicinity is unencyclopedic. The Wikipedia is not the Yellow Pages. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 19:34, 25 January 2010 (UTC)

Just undid the delete, added some more info and took out the restaurants. Is it the names of the restaurants or the links to their websites that is the problem? I left in the art galleries as those speak more to the art oriented feel of the neighborhood. But please let me know of any issues and I will change them rather than having them all deleted. Thanks, Chris —Preceding unsigned comment added by Schulzch (talkcontribs) 20:01, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

If you want to link to an external resource (like a news article) that discusses and lists the galleries in the area, that would be kosher. But lists like this don't belong. Lists are only allowed in cases where the items listed are notable enough (for the most part) to have their own encyclopedia articles.
Here is the specific Wikipedia policy that backs up my position: WP:DIRECTORY Stevie is the man! TalkWork 20:07, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 17:47, 19 June 2010 (UTC)

Louisville

Thanks for checking my edit and cleaning up; I tried fixing as soon as I noticed, but you were too quick and had already started. Sorry for the extra work I caused by pasting over your revert. I was trying to salvage the relevant information and didn't realize it was adding the spacing when I pasted it in from the lower wikEd box. —Ost (talk) 17:20, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

No problem. :) I'm glad you saved some of the material. I am usually too impatient with editors who dump a lot of subjective content into an article. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 22:44, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

The Milhist election has started!

The Military history WikiProject coordinator election has started. You are cordially invited to help pick fourteen new coordinators from a pool of twenty candidates. This time round, the term has increased from six to twelve months so it is doubly important that you have your say! Please cast your vote here no later than 23:59 (UTC) on Tuesday, 28 September 2010.

With many thanks in advance for your participation from the coordinator team,  Roger Davies talk 19:40, 17 September 2010 (UTC)

Edgewood rename

The guideline states that census-designated places (CDPs) follow the comma guideline, and that neighborhoods within cities do not, unless disambiguation is needed. Edgewood isn't a CDP. The purpose of the convention is to keep article names as simple as possible. "Edgewood" alone would have sufficed, except that there's more than one Edgewood. The guidelines state that "Placename, State" is acceptable to disambiguate a place that's not a CDP. Do you prefer Edgewood, Kentucky?

Therefore, "Edgewood, Louisville" makes sense. It's in Louisville. "Edgewood, Kentucky" makes no sense, as it's a neighborhood in Louisville. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 20:21, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
Yes, but according to the naming convention, the correct form is Edgewood (Louisville). Do you disagree that this is what the naming convention requires, or do you disagree with the naming convention? --Bsherr (talk) 20:05, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
Please give me a link to the guideline you are referring to. If indeed this is the guideline, then many articles will need to be renamed. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 23:29, 13 October 2010 (UTC)
The link was in the edit summary for the move: WP:NCGN. --Bsherr (talk) 02:23, 14 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. I don't see a guideline for city neighborhoods in all that. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 00:11, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
"The standard form for municipalities and unincorporated communities in the United States is [[Placename, State]] (the "comma convention"). In general, census-designated places follow this convention and neighborhoods within cities do not, unless disambiguation is needed." --Bsherr (talk) 23:00, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

Are you still on the WikiProject Companies/Health Industry Task Force

A few months ago I was looking through Wikipedia articles and found an article that has some serious edit wars going on. Im not too sure if it has been following all of Wikipedias Quality Standards.

I was just wondering if you would be available to look at fact checking, Neutrality and give a third opinion about a new company added to the WikiProject Companies. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MonaVie Thanks.DavidR2010 (talk) 23:06, 2 November 2010 (UTC)DavidR2010DavidR2010 (talk) 23:06, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Democracy 2.0

Hello, Found out your logo and I want to thank you for it. I have a Democracy 2.0 projet, but maybe what I want to do already exists. Have you ever seen a wiki with voting system integrated and everything that would need, for example, a party or an association, to talk and collaborate on proposals, vote proposals, etc ? Thanks. Vincent vmandrilly@hotmail.com —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.144.231.177 (talk) 15:53, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome. I don't know of any such project, but then, I haven't been looking around lately either. Good luck in your endeavors! Stevie is the man! TalkWork 16:41, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
