Welcome![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page China Navigation Company, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless that text is available under a suitable free license. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. December 2023[edit]

Your account has been blocked from editing Wikipedia because your username, CorporatecommsSSL, does not comply with Wikipedia's username policy. Your username is the principal reason for the block. You are welcome to continue editing after you have chosen a new username that complies with Wikipedia's username policy, which is summarized here.
Please take a moment to either create a new account, or request a username change of your current account here. The new username that you choose must comply with Wikipedia's username policy.
  • To create a new account with a different username, simply log out of this account and then click here to make a new one.
  • If you prefer to change the username of this account, you may do so by adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page (this page): {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If your username is not in violation of Wikipedia's username policy, and if you believe that this block was incorrect or made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the following text to the bottom of your user talk page here: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Thank you. UtherSRG (talk) 14:41, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am a member of the Corporate Communications team of Swire Shipping, and I would like to request an unblock of this account.

Decline reason:

Please follow the instructions provided to propose a new username reflecting you as an individual. Your real name is not required. You should also read WP:PAID and WP:COI. 331dot (talk) 16:17, 26 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Renaming as an individual instead of the Corporate Communications team. CorporatecommsSSL (talk) 03:58, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

That username would still blatantly violate WP:USERNAME. It's unclear if you are just deliberately trolling. Yamla (talk) 13:50, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

January 2024[edit]

Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:31, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have re-blocked your account, as you've disclosed that you have a paid relationship with the company, but have to date made no paid-editor disclosure. To be unblocked you'll need to address each of the four bullet-points (Disclose ..., Convince ..., Describe ..., Provide ...) in the template immediately above this. Please note that you will not be unblocked to continue promoting the company you work for – Wikipedia does not tolerate promotion of any kind. Request reason:

  • Disclose: No compensation received *Convince: Understand that we are not to use the Wikipedia page for promotions; we have only been trying to edit the history of the company of which we are a part of, and not for promotions *Describe: Editing to update the history and background of the company for accuracy *Provide a new username: StellaRSSL

Rename and more[edit]

I globally renamed CorporatecommsSSL to StellaRSSL Your request is mangled. You added the same content-- a lot. Because of your WP:COI, you should not edit directly. Make suggestions on article talk. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not your company's webhost. Updates go on your corporate website, and not on Wikipedia. "All content must be cited from reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and have a reputation for fact checking." Best -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 11:12, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, good. When I removed the spamu part, it hid the misformatting. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 11:14, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So, you are telling us that the Corp. Comm. Team are not compensated in some way, whether with money or some other means? Also, User accounts are one person per account Thanks -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 11:16, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
