Cedar Point article

[edit]

Regarding these edits, there are several issues. First, you haven't provided a reliable source, and if you need help understanding this concept, please see WP:V and WP:CITE. Second, even if there is a reliable source supporting this material, I'm not sure it needs to be in the Cedar Point article. This article contains a lot of information as it stands now, and what you're trying to add may be better suited at the HalloWeekends article for minor details like this. If you really want it in the Cedar Point article, then I suggest you start a new discussion on the article's talk page. We can discuss it further there. Thank you. --GoneIn60 (talk) 06:14, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Fast Lane (Cedar Fair) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
added links pointing to Maverick, Skyhawk, Gemini and Giant Wheel

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:46, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Um, I didn't realize I'd added links. That certainly was not my intention. I only wanted to edit the article to reflect the most up-to-date info. Sorry if I caused a problem. SummeRStorM79 (talk) 18:26, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder about providing citations

[edit]

I saw your recent edit at Phantom's Revenge, and noticed that you didn't provide a source. I've left it in place for now, but please add a citation. If you need help, see Help:Introduction to referencing or ask at the Teahouse. Thanks. --GoneIn60 (talk) 23:50, 30 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Gone. I only saw your message to me about my edit on Phantom's Revenge just now,so please forgive me? I did not intend to itnore you. I just added a citation. I hope it is acceptable. It was from a local news channel in Pittsburgh (I believe KDKA). Do I always need a citation when adding content? SummeRStorM79 (talk) 17:48, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yikes, please excuse the typos (should be '[just now, so...] & 'ignore') in the message above. I'm usually better at proofreading things before posting. SummeRStorM79 (talk) 17:51, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Erich Anderson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Conundrum.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 05:55, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the link. I meant for that to be a link to that episode's page, but apparently I didn't do it correctly. If another editor with more experience can adjust it, that's fine. I'm nearing 1,000 edits, but there are still many aspects of editing that I'm very inexperienced at. SummeRStorM79 (talk) 06:03, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reviving Operation B&M

[edit]

Hey! I'm an amusement park/roller coaster lover and I've been working on various articles about them. This project in particular, Operation B&M, has seemingly been abandoned for about a decade now and I'd like to rescue it. I'm finding active users (particularly those with interests in park/coaster articles) who may be interested in helping out. No worries if you aren't interested! Therguy10 (talk) 19:17, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I would be interested. I'm not sure what needs done here, but I am definitely an amusement park/coaster lover! My home park is Kennywood in West Mifflin, PA, but my most favorite park is Cedar Point!! Unfortunately, I have not been there since late July of 2019, but have been itching for a return trip! Anyhoo, please let me know what this Operation B&M thing entails, ok? SummeRStorM79 (talk) 22:30, 5 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok awesome! Here’s the jist:
The project was to bring every B&M manufactured roller coaster up to “Good Status.” While the project seemed successful in the past, it did became abandoned :(. I’m sure you’d be useful with this considering your love for parks and coasters. In fact, some coasters you may have ridden (ex: Valravn or Rougarou) need the help!
So I’m gathering active editors (you would not believe how many editors on that project are inactive!) that have an interest in this type of stuff to help out! If it is indeed something you’d be interested in, I’d let you know when I have enough editors and the official reviving will start! Therguy10 (talk) 00:32, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and by the way…..yes, you should totally go back to Cedar Point! :) Therguy10 (talk) 00:41, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Believe me, as far as Cedar Point, I've been trying. The whole virus thing did not help, plus there's the monetary aspect of it. I'm hoping to try for next year. Siren's Curse looks like it'll be pretty neat (I've never ridden a tilt coaster). I've ridden Top Thrill Dragster, just hoping they can fix the issues with Top Thrill 2 to get it running again. Sadly, as for 2024, no coaster rides for me. Very disappointing, because I LOVE coasters of ANY type. My last park visit was late July of 2023 to Kings Island. That was my 2nd time there. Went with a friend, we had a great time. 24 coaster rides! Ok, as for Operation B&M, please keep me in the loop? I'm not sure what I could do to help improve the pages, but I'd be willing! SummeRStorM79 (talk) 01:09, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh that’s so cool! Kings Island is my “home park” and I visit Cedar Point occasionally too! (Maybe one or two visits a year?) Buying the All-Park Passport is well worth it. I’m super curious to see how it changes with the merger with Six Flags, though! But yes you should absolutely go back to CP! (And I’m stoked for Siren’s Curse too….I have also never ridden a tilt)
And I will keep you in the loop for Operation B&M! Hopefully I’ll get back with you about it soon….Thanks! Therguy10 (talk) 01:39, 6 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
