The Blazers are an East L.A based group that used to feature vocalist, accordian player Jesus Cuevas who later joined Los Fabulocos, a group that had Kid Ramos in its ranks. [1] They have been playing in the East LA area for more than 20 years. [2]

They have regularly been compared to other groups from the area such as Los Lobos, The Gourds and Doug Sahm's Texas Tornados. [3]

Having a history that goes back for more than 20 years [4], this group is an important and highly notable part of Mexican-American rock history.

Background[edit]

Their music could be described as a Latin roots rock sound that drawa on Mexican-American life and culture. [5]

Jesus Cuevas who is a vocalist and accordion player, left the band and joined Los Fabuloucos. [6]

The Blazers have shared the same bill with the likes of El Chicano, Malo, Tierra and Mark Guererro and his band. In 2010 they were there with them at the Fiesta Days in Palm Springs California. [7] In November 2012 they appeared at Nicks Taste Of Texas with Los Fabulocos. [8]

Notice

The article The Blazers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A couple of gig reviews and the rest is directory entries. No real evidence of notability, and no WP:SIGCOV cited.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
