Speedy deletion nomination of DotSUB[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on DotSUB, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -Zeus-u|c 03:21, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

Marc Thiessen[edit]

Hi. I'm afraid I've just removed most of the text you recently added to this article. The main problem is that our rules about Biographies of living people require good sources for all controversial claims, and Media Matters is an advocacy group, not a reliable source. Another problem is that we cannot cite videos of the Amanpour interview from YouTube etc because they are technically copyright violations. (If we could find a video of the interview on cnn.com, or even a transcript, that would be fine.)

Please don't let this put you off contributing to Wikipedia in general or that article in particular. We understand that it takes several months to really understand the rules here.

Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://fedpubs.com/subject/govern/arar.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 19:45, 13 March 2010 (UTC)

Richard Proulx (RCMP officer)[edit]

Hi Talencar: Regarding Richard Proulx (RCMP officer), please note that I have modified the name slightly so as to be in accord with the Wiki Manual of Style. More importantly -- Richard Proulx simply does not belong in the array of categories that are, of course, proper for Maher Arar. It was rather confusing to find him listed there. I've remedied that situation, so for future reference, please be careful not to assign inappropriate categories to other articles that you may create or edit. August 2010[edit]

Information.svg Welcome to Wikipedia. I would just like to remind you in a friendly way not to remove the information header at the Wikipedia sandbox, and other sandboxes, or make any other inappropriate edits, such as adding libelous, offensive, or copyrighted material. You are free to test your editing skills there, but please follow the instructions stated on the page. Good luck with your editing and thank you for your co-operation. Proposed deletion of Sherene H. Razack[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Sherene H. Razack has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable individual lacking GHits and GNEWS of substance. Appears to fail WP:BIO.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ttonyb (talk) 05:27, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Aziz al-Abub[edit]

Please do not make statements attacking people or groups of people. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
