Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08), without giving a valid reason for the removal on the article talk page. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. - wolf 04:03, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at HMS Queen Elizabeth (R08), you may be blocked from editing.
Note:
Re; your edit summary: "RFA Tiderace is still in UK on FOST. never met up with QE and never formed a task group. Therefore false information and has been removed, if clarification of where I got my information from is required please contact me. However Tiderace is still in the UK as of 3rd October 2018". That is not how Wikipedia works. If you wish to contest, and even remove, sourced content, you need to provide more compelling support. Other than this notice, do not expect editors to "contact you". We should not have to chase after you to support your edits. Include your support in your edit summary and/or the article talk page. Also remember that original research (eg: "I know because I'm a sailor on that ship.", etc) will not be accepted, nor will any support provided in private (eg: in an email). Support of your edit must be visible to all users, and provided at the time you make your edit. Thank you - wolf 18:27, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Thewolfchild: here is a up to date location data of RFA Tideraces position, (https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/235109337) showing Plymouth (FOST HQ) in the uk, as can be seen she hasn’t left for the US and hasn’t joined the task group. I am simply trying to make sure false info isn’t spread. The ship is having issues. Tankeditor (talk) 18:42, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there is a couple problems here; A) the content including Tiderace is supported by a "royalnavy.mod.uk.co" ref, which is considered a pretty solid source. B) I have no idea if this ship tracking website you're going by is considered a reliable source (you would need to confirm that at WP:RSN) and even if it is, we can't just have one source trump another. If you could provide a source that, for example explains why Tiderace was intended to accompany Queen Elizabeth, but didn't (and why), or perhaps several sources that simply confirm she never left Plymouth, then you might be able to change that content. Keep in mind that when I write "source", I always mean "reliable source". I would also suggest having this discussion on the article talk page, instead of here. - wolf 19:01, 3 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mattdaviesfsic. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, British Rail Class 170, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 21:27, 8 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
