conflict of interest policy
[edit]Hello, Tbenazoun. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 05:42, 22 January 2014 (UTC)

Advice for editors who may have a conflict of interest
[edit]Welcome Tbenazoun! The edits you can make directly to the Majid Al Futtaim Group article are listed at WP:COIADVICE. Otherwise, please post requests on the article talk page, Talk:Majid Al Futtaim Group and use Template:Request edit above your request. -- Jreferee (talk) 11:49, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
January 2014
[edit]Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with this edit to Majid Al Futtaim Group. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. ~ | twsx | talkcont | ~ 12:55, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
Possibly unfree File:MAF Tower 2.jpg
[edit]A file that you uploaded or altered, File:MAF Tower 2.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 13:04, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
Notice of Conflict of interest noticeboard discussion
[edit]This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard regarding a possible conflict of interest incident in which you may be involved. Thank you. For reference, it's not really about you, it's about a new editor accepting your edits. Joseph2302 (talk) 12:29, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you Joseph2302, I think Jbenoite was just trying to help, and surprisingly the references he got were all accurate. If you believe the table is promotional, let's see if different collaborators all agree with that. Anyway, I totally accept your point. However, the change you have made is actually wrong as you have added the 13 countries in the Majid Al Futtaim Properties section, while it should be in Majid Al Futtaim Group generic presentation. Could you take care of that? Tbenazoun (talk) 14:44, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
The file File:MAF Logo Bilingual Left CMYK.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Redundant to File:Majid Al Futtaim logo.svg which is hosted on Commons
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Salavat (talk) 03:45, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
