Feedback re: draft page

[edit]

Hi Tcostayates and Seazzy. Tcostayates is a student of mine, and her page has hit a roadblock. Do you have any advice on how to get her group's wiki entry ready for publishing? Appreciate your help. Narrowrooms (talk) 02:28, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tcostayates and Narrowrooms. The major issue here is that pretty much all of the sources are directly from the organization that the article is about. You'll need to do some serious digging to find secondary sources (newspapers, journals, magazine articles, book chapters) that talk about your topic. I recommend taking advantage of the journal access you have through the university, as well as doing some serious googling through Google Books and Google News. You can also get creative with your search terms, for example "Topic, board of directors", "Topic, campaign", or by doing google searches on people involved in the organization. Good luck! Thanks Seazzy! Narrowrooms (talk) 16:32, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you both of you Seazzy & Narrowrooms! I have done lots of research on secondary sources, hopefully they stick! Tcostayates (talk) 00:29, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tcostayates. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 20:09, 17 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
