Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Twocanoes has been reverted.
Your edit here to Twocanoes was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed () is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:41, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Possible COI?

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Techgirl49. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page LEAD Technologies, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Djm-leighpark (talk) 22:07, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Djm-leighpark: Hi! I saw something about this in the deletion discussion and kind of answered it there I hope. I use LEAD's offerings, I don't think that gives me a conflict of interest. If it does, then there's another editor leading the deletion charge also has one because he used their tools too. Techgirl49 (talk) 18:23, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thankyou for clarifying. Djm-leighpark (talk) 18:33, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Understanding notability

[edit]

Hi again. I am not sure if your contributions around LEAD Technologies is intended to be the start of your new Wikipedia editing hobby or more of a one-off. If you're planning to stick around then you should read about notability and the specific guideline that the Wikipedia community has developed over time to determine which companies should have articles about them and which should not. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 19:36, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:LEADTOOLS, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicizes someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
