List of former national highways in New South Wales, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Congratulations, and thank you for helping expand the scope of Wikipedia! We hope you will continue making quality contributions.

The article has been assessed as List-Class, which is recorded on its talk page. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request. However, you may continue submitting work to Articles for creation if you prefer.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask at the help desk. Once you have made at least 10 edits and had an account for at least four days, you will have the option to create articles yourself without posting a request to Articles for creation.

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!

I am not a reviewer

[edit]

Please look at other editors to check with things as well - well worth trying to look around... JarrahTree 11:24, 3 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I just realised that. Someone else reviewed the article so no worries. I am just introducing myself to some other users, and for them to know me.

Wikiproject

[edit]

Hi there,

I've seen that you are trying to set up a new Wikiproject for Australian tourism articles. While its great to see your enthusiasm, before you rush too far ahead you may want to consider what exactly you are trying to get out of it – creating and maintaining a WikiProject can be a lot of effort, and only really work if there's a group of editors interested in using them for discussion and collaboration. Perhaps read Wikipedia:WikiProject, if you haven't already, as well as Wikipedia:WikiProject_Council/Guide. Cheers, Evad37 [talk] 06:41, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Evad37:

Thank you Evad37. I'll try and hope a that some editors come. I though this is particularly useful for things like Tourist Drives as they have some stops on them which this project works. From the name WP:AURD I thought it is only road related articles. For example:

Tourist Drive 12: - Fits in AURD&AUTR

Consisting Roads: - Fits in both

Stops:

Tramway Museum - Doesn't fit in AURD as it is not road related Picton - As above, not road related but Tourist related

So I thought this will be a good way to also include these things. Managing something isn't hard for me and my friend who has designed an advances software program helps me with making the page.

@Evad37 and Downsize43: Hello Evad37, is it okay if I consult with some of the AURD members. I see that User:Downsize43 has a lot of knowledge about Tourist Routes, which help.

Thanks, The Savannah Way (talk E: tsw2996@gmail.com Reddit: u/tsw2996 OSM: stuarthwy87 06:52, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

process

[edit]

usually proposed projects go through a staged process - and you have short circuited the whole thing.

once again you are leaping and jumping - way out of your edit history scope...

Also a significant number of Australian articles and categories that are tied in with

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Travel_and_Tourism

as well as a complicated category structure of items that are parallel -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Landmarks_in_Australia

I personally if I was an admin I would be very close to suggesting that you take a break from your enthusiasm and have a closer look at the larger wikipedia, before rushing off and doing things without consulting first. JarrahTree 08:56, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Travel_and_Tourism

is not Aussie specific. I wanted to make it like WikiProject Australian Roads. WP AURD is at the intersection of WP Highways and WP Australia. The same applies to this.

what you might want to do is not how wikipedia works, it is a community with processes in place - take a break - and look at WP:COUNCIL, and the larger Australian project - the larger community does not create projects as the drop of a hat... if you really want to understand how unplanned and random creation of things lead to a very sad end, try getting handle on the process of portals on wikipedia - a terror story from all sides. JarrahTree 09:11, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There's being bold, and then there's being incredibly reckless. You're clearly doing the latter. An extreme action must be responded to with an extreme reaction, so I've deleted the project that you've created out of process. Any further extreme acts of recklesness for a five-day old user and you'll be blocked. Graham87 11:19, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
