West Coast Time[edit]

When articles about albums are created, we are required to meet specific criteria for inclusion in the encyclopedia. All articles on albums, singles or other recordings must meet the basic criteria at the notability guidelines, with significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Unreleased material is only notable if it has significant independent coverage in reliable sources. At a minimum, an album should not have an article independent from the artist until its title, track listing and release date have all been publicly confirmed by the artist or their record label. When this information is lacking, the community guidelines require redirecting the article to that of the artist. Therefore, the West Coast Time article has been redirected to the Michelle Branch article. For more information, please review: WP:NALBUMS and WP:CRYSTAL. If you have questions, please feel free to contact me. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 09:01, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

August 2012[edit]

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 09:15, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. DMacks (talk) 09:32, 20 August 2012 (UTC)

Demi Lovato lead image[edit]

Hi TiraSadiyah, I'd like your opinions at Talk:Demi Lovato#Edit warring over image in infobox, please. Discussion has stagnated there although the image is still being changed quite a bit, and I am trying to get folks to go on record with some opinions and discussion. Thanks in advance for your input! This is your last warning. The next time you create an inappropriate page, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. If you edit-war against an Articles for Deletion consensus, you will certainly have your edit privileges here revoked. DMacks (talk) 04:35, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of All the Way Around (song)[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on All the Way Around (song), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. DMacks (talk) 04:43, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for August 24[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Lara Robinson, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Knowing, Work in Progress and Long Weekend (film) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Christian Jacob Beadles[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Christian Jacob Beadles has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No demonstration of notability, fails notability (people).

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Christian beadles screenshot.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Christian beadles screenshot.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 18:08, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:I Thought I Lost You.ogg)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading File:I Thought I Lost You.ogg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:34, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Mariah Buzolin.jpg[edit]

Ambox warning pn.svg

Thanks for uploading File:Mariah Buzolin.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:07, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Replacing images[edit]

I've noticed that you have replaced several images recently with photographs that you have taken yourself. While you are encouraged to add new images to articles where needed, or to replace images with better quality you material, you shouldn't replace existing images with equivalent or lower quality images. For example, the image that you added to Jungle was out of focus and not especially indicative of a jungle, yet you used it to replace a clear and illustrative image. Similarly your image in beach was not especially illustrative of a beach, being primarily an image of the sea, yet it replaced a very illustrative quality image. Please stop and objectively consider the quality of the images that you post compared to the images that you are replacing. Thank you, and please keep contributing. Mark Marathon (talk) 07:26, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

PS. If you want to see your images on Wikipedia, I suggest looking at articles on subjects unique to your area to see if they have images. The plants and animals, landmarks, rivers, clothing and fashion and so forth. I assume you are located in Indonesia. We usually have a need of images from the Southern Hemisphere generally, and the non-English-speaking parts especially.Mark Marathon (talk) 07:32, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Please stop. Mark Marathon (talk) 02:17, 25 September 2012 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
