Notability of Bernard Roy
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Bernard Roy, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Bernard Roy seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Bernard Roy, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Notability of Lucy Gordon (actress)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Lucy Gordon (actress) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Ŵïllî§ï$2 (Talk!/Cont.) 13:39, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Michel Maure

This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. - Like all others on this page, this article will be kept... You should think before delete ! Tognopop (talk) 14:25, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
The article Mozinor has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable person. There's one reference which might indicate notability but that's all, and not a lot of relevant stuff on the web either. This article has twice been speedied for notability.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. andy (talk) 14:49, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- You may look at this before delete this article. Tognopop (talk) 15:09, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

- I know, you can do it too, french not so complex ;) Tognopop (talk) 15:29, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I see you undid my redirect on this page. The reason for my redirect is our policy on people notable for only one event. It is sort of complex, but essentially it states that that if a person is known (notable as shown by reliable sources) only for one event, it is best to have the biographical information at the event page and redirect the persons to the event for navigational purposes. At the moment there is not enough biographical information to warrant a split. --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 20:28, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Like others people on this page, you should think before writing your answer.... Tognopop (talk) 21:14, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'm really not sure what you mean by this... I typed this message myself (It is not a WP:Template), and supported my response with well established policy. --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 15:32, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- Did you see that before writing your answer ? Tognopop (talk) 15:41, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not really sure what the French Wikipedia's polices are on subjects that are only notable for one subject. But the page is redundant to the main page. If the biography needs to be expanded, then that page is the best place to do that. Please note that I am not saying they are not notable, merely that they are not independantly notable of the Bogdanov Affair. --Fiftytwo thirty (talk) 16:17, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- This is your point of view but not mine. Like all others articles of this page, it will finally be created. This is just a question of time. Tognopop (talk) 17:04, 23 October 2010 (UTC)
- It has been created in 2015 as I said. Tognopop (talk) 15:36, 28 October 2017 (UTC)
