Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to KCR, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by ClueBot NG.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from KCR S.A., a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, then you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Click here to contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Even if the rationale is wrong, you cannot remove CSD tags from articles you have created. Just contest the deletion, and an Admin will then decline the deletion if it was an error. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 03:58, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for welcome. Re: removing speedy deletion tag from KCR S.A. page - in this case there was not "contest this speedy deletion" option - just information: "If this article does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, please remove this notice". I'm not sure what I did wrong - will appreciate explanation. Thanks. Tomgers (talk) 08:58, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Even if there is no button, the policy still says not to remove a CSD tag from an article you created. See WP:CSD for more information. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 23:06, 3 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Marek Kiecana has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. kashmiri TALK 10:36, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Tomgers. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. kashmiri TALK 10:37, 25 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
