Superman: Earth One Volume Two

[edit]

Hi, I read your user page and see that you copy edits. Can you copy edit Superman: Earth One Volume Two for me, please? Thanks.--NeoBatfreak (talk) 18:31, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely. I'll work on it either tomorrow or later tonight. Thanks for pointing me towards that! It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 20:43, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Stewart

[edit]

I am Christopher Edward Jeffers. I am the creator of the award. I have award Jon Stewart "2012 Christopher Edward Jeffers Greatest Man In The World" award. Your opinion of me doesn't change the fact that he is the winner. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.117.36.110 (talk) 01:24, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I reverted your edit because it was unsourced, and on a WP:BLP. If you could find a source and cite it, I would gladly accept your edit, however, it was not verifiable and seemed a bit iffy. If you have any questions, please contact me on this page. Thanks! It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 01:31, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure what your confusion is... I could e-mail you a pic of my birth certificate to prove I am Christopher Edward Jeffers. I Gave Jon Stewart the award. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.117.36.110 (talk) 01:43, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take your word for it, but the question here is if the award is notable enough to be applied to encyclopedia articles. You can discuss this on the talk page of the article to gain WP:CONSENSUS. As two users have reverted your edits, I would highly recommend this. It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 02:03, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Madness and Civilization 'Impact' edit

[edit]

Fox, I have referred you to the 'impact' section of 'talk', where the reasons for my edit are given, and where I implore anyone interested in restoring the section to engage in a discussion there.

The 'impact' section as it stood was grossly inaccurate (what authorizes me to say that is a familiarity with the historiography of asylum practice, classical medicine, medical psychology, psychopathology and mental illness). It is simply not the case that Foucault's book does not represent a fundamental challenge to commonly held views about the biological basis of 'mental illness', or to the 'history of psychology', as it most certainly does, and the first to notice this was his supervisor at the Sorbonne (who himself wrote critical works on psychology). Although it is true that Foucault distanced himself from the anti-psychiatric movement, this can easily be explained in terms of his general aversion to polemics.

The simple fact of the matter is this: nothing IS better than what was previously there. When I get time, I will attempt to supply this deficiency. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.216.55.101 (talk) 02:44, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, sorry about that. When recent changes patrolling, I normally use automated tools which don't show me the talk page. Next time you do something that a patroller may potentially think is vandalism/policy violation, you could put an edit summary. An edit summary saying that the deletion was discussed on Talk would make me *not* revert the edit. Thanks! It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 13:31, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Fox Wilson. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know however, regarding Bestiary, and various theological texts, that tagging articles for speedy deletion moments after creation as lacking context (CSD A1), content (CSD A3) and articles created through the Article Wizard, is too fast. It's best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Attack pages (G10), blatant nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. Braincricket (talk) 19:40, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oops, my fault. Forget to check the page creation time :) Thanks for letting me know. It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 20:36, 16 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

edit on Troll (Middle-earth)

[edit]

I believe you are mixing me up with IP address "216.56.160.13" whose edits on "Troll (Middle-earth)" you restored. The edit that I made was simply a grammar edit changing "by three actor who also play dwarves in Thorin's company" to "by three actors who also play dwarves in Thorin's company." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.125.148.196 (talk) 19:51, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops, looks like I did. Thanks for letting me know. I'll remove the warning. It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 20:38, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

reverted my constructive edit, saying it was vandalism

[edit]

A small section of the community was vandalizing the page of Raghu Ram to add personal insults and vandalism, and I undid one of those to restore the page to its clean state. You reverted *that* edit of mine, which I find hilarious. Anyway, a kind hearted soul has cleaned up the page again, so no harm done

I checked, and I'm not anywhere in the page history. Could you give me a diff link to clarify? Thanks, It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 18:49, 21 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hares Youssef

[edit]

Hi,

I was contacted by Michig to provide more references which I did and still doing. Please read carefully before deleting.

I wonder why you keep on deleting the article regarding Mr. Hares Youssef. Please republish it ASAP since I had the message to improve until January 31st 2013.

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jeiboul (talkcontribs) 01:39, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: A barnstar for you! and Script

[edit]

Thanks for the barnstar I really appreciate it, it's been difficult sorting the increased level of AfDs lately but this helps. Regards ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 00:48, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No unfortunately I have to do it manually, there is a script for it but it doesn't seem to work anymore. The creator has been asked about it by multiple users but never responded. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 00:57, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That would be great, if you do decide to create it let me know. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 01:03, 23 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I copied it but nothing is displaying I presume it's suppose to display in the drop down menu. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 16:58, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry my fault didn't realise the menu above the toolbox was called interaction. No need to introduce it into the top drop down menu. Now as for the test itself I added four delsorts to Mobiquant which had to be done individually not a major issue. But the script automatically added it to Business & France but I had to sort it manually under Software & Management so maybe all the delsort pages aren't coded for. Also the edit summaries, not really an issue on the AfD itself but when it gets added to the delsort page users like the article itself or the AfD to be linked in the edit summary. Lastly the delsort only signs the time as in ~~~~~ instead of ~~~~. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 18:01, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The signature issue should be fixed now - I will work on the summary. Also, it looks like it couldn't figure out where to put the AfD on Software, I have fixed that issue. I did the same with Management. So the only concerns now are the summary and an issue where you can't cancel the delsort, which I will fix in a bit. Thanks! It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 18:04, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'll go through all the other delsort pages to see if they need altering like Software. Thanks for the alternations & all your efforts thus far. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 18:20, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
A few things we didn't consider before is that Schools, Radio & News have subsections & I don't think the script can be configured to sort into the correct subsections you'll see what I mean if you look at them pages. There is also an issue with video games it doesn't have a regular tag {{subst:VG deletion}} & the AfDs on Video games delsort page are listed in a different manner then all other delsort pages. I went through all the delsort pages modifying the hidden notes similar to what you did with Software/Management & I also added hidden notes to pages which had none not sure if it was completely necessary but better to be safe then sorry. How is edit summary coming alone? ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 21:40, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Should be done in a little bit. It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 21:44, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
These are the most commonly used delsorts, but that's just based on my experience as I don't think we have statistics on it. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 22:01, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I'll add those. Also, the delsort button moved up to the place with "Move" and those things, not sure exactly what it's called. The dropdown menu that goes next to Twinkle.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Fox Wilson (talkcontribs) 22:02, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Great any idea how to solve the above issues. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 22:11, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I *should* be able to take care of video game delsorts - might take a bit of time to add it though. The subsection problem might be able to addressed - I'll have to look into it a bit further. It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 22:16, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I added four more most common delsorts on my previous reply forgot to mention it see here. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 22:40, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I only just got to test out the script properly today, it's certainly makes the job a lot easier. but there are issues as it's not sorting to following pages:

Removed the list had I realised it was only the hidden note that was an issue I wouldn't have said anything, I've used it significantly more since the last message & it's running smoothly, but any chance you could changed the edit summary from "performing delsort" to wikilinking the AfD ex. added Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Willette Missionary Baptist Church. ★☆ DUCKISJAMMMY☆★ 19:33, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I should have the summary fixed before 7:00PM Eastern time. It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 20:58, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Skin Gun information

[edit]

Hi, I left a message about the following article .. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin_cell_gun. My boss who created the device advised that there is some erroneous information on the site and he would like to make corrections. You told me in my response that I could make changes but should I dispute the article first or how should I approach this matter being that this is about him and his device? Balutology Missunderstood.

[edit]

Although I am aware that the poetic and absurd dimensions of the social and conventional, i quote my friend Gurdjieff, "bon ton literary language" are all to precious to be ignored, I personally (With ALL my Being) feel that they have multidimensional roles in this drama of assimilating Identity. That being said I find that although many of its more widely played strings are finding their recognition in the inter dimensional "tv-sets", they are not sufficient as a unsurmountable barrier in the infinity available also here on so called "Earth". For it is here that the absurd and its laughter meet. As Mulla Nasreddin once told me, "A headless donkey deserves an ass" and likewise the ass-less donkey desevers its head"

Soo.. I see it as a problematic non-problem of a head-assed donkey, which is furthermore reading a story of the venerable Mulla, confusing it with a menu, and trying to eat and read with its ass, for after all this is its nature. Like a clown who lost its laughter and its tears, staring blindly into the abyss, so ass to projects its hidden face into the far reaches of the absurd, as to collect gems for future enjoyment, dnand providing its outmost art in ultra-lazulic selflessness, for the continued wierdity of the evolution of humor, and in the friendship of perfect equality contained in its laughter and reconciliation.

The question thereby becomes, wether or not you as a head assed donkey can find this truth of all pervading Balutivity. Which is concealed by the red underlining of the fear of being wrong, and not able to face the cosmic song, The logarythm of chaos is sincerely alive within all realms of order, and like the volcano-zoroastric fires of Iran which prepares the flames of our enjoyment, it rises and gives birth to inevitability.

Of Cour See the heart of the bird cannot be caged, and finds new wings in its songs and deep compassion for the human condition of Assology. And shares its songs in the knowing that it awakes the asomes it the oldest stones, and inevitably turns them stars.

The song is sung Balut 64 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Balut 64 (talkcontribs) 16:24, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Yips

[edit]

Hi - I see my comment citing a section of 'The Yips' for noteworthiness was removed as it didn't appear to be constructive. (test/vandalism - really?!) As the offending comment has been quickly and subsequently removed for same reason that I specified, just cited oh so slightly differently given even a moment's more attention (I'm not up on memes) (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Yips&diff=prev&oldid=530758565) - I just wanted to say, thanks for your unhelpfulness. :) 68.112.131.231 (talk) 09:29, 28 January 2013 (UTC)68.112.131.231[reply]

It looked like a test edit to me. That sort of thing shouldn't have been placed on the article itself - it wouldn't have been reverted on the talk page. There you could discuss the notability of the statement. It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 12:45, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article had no sources, and I could not find any reliable ones with a web search. This made me believe that it failed the speedy deletion criterion A7. Please see the notability guideline. Thanks! It's a Fox! (Talk to me?) 11:13, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
