Your edits

[edit]

I would advice you to take some time to learn how Wikipedia works. There are a number of rules, or "guidelines", that explains how you are supposed to work, see Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines. If you do not follow these guidelines, your edits will usually be reverted, and if you continue, you may be sanctioned.

One example of such guidelines is Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biographies. Under the section "Opening paragraph", is says "Ethnicity or sexuality should not generally be emphasized in the opening unless it is relevant to the subject's notability." That means that the Armenian/Assyrian ancestry of Andre Agassi has no place in the opening paragraph of the article unless that was a reason for his fame. Your repeated insertion of this is therefore in breach of the guideline. In the next section "1970–1985: Early life" his ancestry is stated in detail, and that is where it belongs. The best thing would be if you reverted your last edit before anyone else does. Then it would be easier to assume that your edits are made in good faith.

Also, I would advice you to start using edit summaries, se Help:Edit summary. When you explain your edits, they are less likely to be reverted. When you just do the same edit several times without explanation, it may be regarded as edit warring, see Wikipedia:Edit warring.

If you study and follow the guidelines, your Wikipedia life will be much easier! Regards! --T*U (talk) 07:49, 25 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Andre Agassi, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Your edits to Andre Agassi have been reverted multiple times by multiple editors. Please bring it to the talk page if you want to change this item again. Thanks. Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 03:45, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
