Blocked

[edit]

Hello. I've blocked this account for violating your unblock conditions by using multiple accounts both before and after your last unblock appeal, as well as being a sockpuppet of User:LovelyGirl7. This is a checkuser block. Your path to unblock may involve WP:OFFER and will require a community unban discussion. Your routes to appeal my action in making this block are detailed above. -- zzuuzz (talk) 23:33, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zzuuzz, regarding your concern about me being User:LovelyGirl7, I’m not a sockpuppet of LovelyGirl7. My account was created on June 14, 2017. LovelyGirl7 was created on January 4, 2018. I, UCLAgirl623, never edit articles related to American politics. I will never edit or create articles related to American politics under any circumstances. I never edited Portal:Current events, and don’t intend to do so anytime soon. —UCLAgirl623 (Whats up!) 00:14, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Our sock provenance labelling system is neither perfect nor overly bureaucratic. What I would say is that just segregating your edits and using personas does not make you a different person. -- zzuuzz (talk) 00:21, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Zzuuzz, I will do the standard offer and wait for 6 months without evading this block. Barring any incidents, I will come back and appeal this block on my talk page after waiting for 6 months without socking or block evasion (per the standard offer). --UCLAgirl623 (Whats up!) 01:02, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
UCLAgirl623, I renominated Datone Jones to WP:GAN and will complete the review and bring it to WP:GA, with credit going to you fully for all the work you put into it. Zzuuzz, assuming UCLAgirl623 abides by the standard offer, their contributions to Datone Jones (see the most recent peer review and edits to the page) would be enough for me to justify an unblock in 6 months. Cheers, « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 15:58, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I'm a bit cautious about about how much I can reveal but I can and probably should mention at least one other account involved here, and that's Patterson Office Tower (talk · contribs · block log). @Gonzo fan2007:, unlike some users I've dealt with, I truly think this user has a lot going for them. I won't lie it's not going to be an easy thing, and what at least some of us will be looking for is complete transparency and owning up to past mistakes - the history of this talk page doesn't look entirely promising on this front, but give it time. The standard offer mentions doing some solid contributions on another wiki. This paragraph is something they should ponder carefully. -- zzuuzz (talk) 16:13, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
zzuuzz, no problem. My interactions with this user were only confined to a small bubble around one article. However, I was fairly happy with that interaction, especially considering they brought an article up to WP:GAN standards and worked constructively at a peer review. That said, I am not privy to all the details (nor do I want to be), I just thought it important to note their positive contributions over the last few weeks. Cheers, « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 16:40, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

6 month Standard offer/Wikibreak

[edit]

It’s official, I will be doing the standard offer for 6 months, and will wait for 6 months without block evasion or sockpuppetry. Barring any incidents such as block evasion or sockpuppetry, I will return after 6 months. This will be my last edit until then. UCLAgirl623 (Whats up!) 18:17, 15 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

UTRS

[edit]

This user is requesting unblock via UTRS COurtesy pings-- @Zzuuzz, NinjaRobotPirate, and Yamla: --Deep fried okra (schalte ein) 20:30, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Missed@ST47: --Deep fried okra (schalte ein) 20:32, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Deepfriedokra: Thanks for the ping. I'm not on UTRS at this time. This user is User:Incorrigible Troll and User:Starship9000 (plus others). I've no objection to talk page access being lifted if the original accounts are no longer accessible, but any unblock will need to preferably go through the original accounts, and necessarily go through the unban process (as well as checkuser). -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:46, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The account is globally locked, and LovelyGirl7 is listed as banned. There's an LTA for one of the accounts; see Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Incorrigible Troll. Nothing in their UTRS comes even remotely close to addressing these multiple concerns and frankly, I can't see the ban ever being lifted if this is Inocrrigible Troll. But I don't object to TPA being reinstated for them to make an unban and global unlock request. I'm not aware how I'm involved here, though, and note this is a checkuser block. --Yamla (talk) 21:04, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I granted the last successful appeal for this user only to find that she had been socking before and after the appeal was granted (and the appeal was granted on the condition she only use one account, also). She really ought to address this directly in her appeal, and it's disappointing she has glossed over it. GorillaWarfare (talk) 21:12, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
User has replied at UTRS. I have noted that SO is not available till July 15, 2020. I have asked Martin Urbanec about unlocking so that a appeal may be carried here and thence to the community. I note this is still a checkuser block. --Deep fried okra (schalte ein) 22:11, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • As any checkuser can easily confirm, this user has been abusing sockpuppet accounts far more often and recently than they have ever admitted. The most recent account which I can definitively tie to them was globally locked on April 21st of this year, and there are several possible accounts which are still newer than that. They should not be unblocked or unlocked. ST47 (talk) 22:49, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
