IP block exempt

[edit]

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked (through the use of CheckUser) periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 10:38, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"On the sands"?

[edit]

I and others seem to have been confused about the "on the sands" part in Kadir Mısıroğlu#Beliefs. What does it mean? Is there a way to easily explain it?

He also had claimed that Joseph Stalin ordered his army to read the Quran on the sands against the Nazis

Citation: "İslamcı tarihçi Kadir Mısıroğlu'nun bir konuşmasında kullandığı ifadeler izleyenleri gülümsetti". OdaTV. 4 March 2015.

  • @Adakiko: There is a part in Quran (Baqarah:255) that muslims named "Ayet-el Kursi". There are some beliefs or superstitions (it depends on peoples perspective) about this part. For example some people believe if someone pray with this part in home, Şeytan (devil) can not enter their houses or if someone pray this part to a glass of water and drink the water can cure some illnesses. As I say, it is about beliefs and superstitions.
In this citation Mısıroğlu claims, Stalin ordered his officers "Pray Ayet-el Kursi to sands and perfuse "prayed sands" to German Army for rising morale of Soviets" Vincent Vega mesaj?
I would like to add an explanation of what "on the sands" is to the article. It sounds complicated. I think I'll give up. Thanks for your help! BTW: The sources were replaced and then updated by Styyx (talk · contribs) Cheers Adakiko (talk) 21:20, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've explained as much as I can. I agree that's complicated. Vincent Vega mesaj? 21:22, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox timestamps

[edit]

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 23:00, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Before your message, I realized and started to edit again, however I got a ping from my main wiki. Thanks for your interest. Regards. Vincent Vega mesaj? 23:02, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Monastery of Mor Hobil and Mor Abrohom, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 12:52, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
