Hi Visik,
This seems to be a recreation of an already deleted article. See User_talk:Pinkwatch4007 - 220.101 talk\Contribs —Preceding undated comment added 07:37, 7 January 2011 (UTC).

Thank you very much for the info. I'll add a CSD for it. cheers for the help. --Visik (talk) 07:39, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
No problem! I am only watching the 'Newbies' contrbutions logs and there is a lot of this silliness going on. School holidays methinks! - 220.101 talk\Contribs 07:51, 7 January 2011 (UTC) date/time too!
Cool. Hope you have a easier time patrolling new user edits. I'm patrolling new pages. Too much noise and too few good articles. Most would require some some sort of fixing. Some will be WP:CSD as you mentioned is the school holidays and some people maybe bored. --Visik (talk) 08:12, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

With respect to the G4 tag you added to this article I can't seem to find the deletion discussion for this article and you have not linked to it. The logs suggest it has only ever been speedy deleted under A7 not after a deletion discussion. Per our speedy delete criteria G4 only applies if the page in question has been deleted after a deletion discussion (in this case AfD) and a previous speedy deletion does not make it G4 eligible. If the new article meets one of the other criteria (in this case probably A7) that should be used. Dpmuk (talk) 12:58, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Dpmuk, oh okay. I was notified it was G4. But I should have double checked before I re-nominated as G4 and be more careful with the use of it. I have gained a better understanding now and A7 would the most suitable tag for this article or in a situation similar. Appreciated your advice. --Visik (talk) 01:32, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Mekong and Mekong Hydropower

Hello Visik

Many thanks for your welcome note on my 'My Talk' page, and the offer to help.

We (a group of researchers working in and on the Mekong River Basin) have been making a lot of changes and input to the Mekong page. We are also currently in the process of introducing to Wikipedia pages on all of the dams in the Mekong; as well as those planned and under construction. While we accept that it seems a little odd for us to introduce dams that have not yet been built (we note that our page on the Prek Liang 1 has been deleted), this is part of a wider debate on hydropower development in the Mekong, and the cumulative impact of these dams on the river's hydrology and ecology. This is a very current and substantial debate - please see the bibliographies we introduced to the Mekong and the Mekong River Basin Hydropower pages to give you an idea of the size and scope of this debate. Hydropower in the Mekong is a very lucrative business proposition attracting financing from a sluice of different sources; it has hydro-political and geo-political implications - e.g. the finger pointing by downstream countries at China for their dams, and the alleged relationship between their operating rules and downstream drought and/or flooding. The debate has attracted the likes of International Rivers, the World Wildlife Fund, the Challenge Program on Water and Food, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature and many, many others.

Hence, we submit that providing factual and accurate data about the river's commissioned dams, those under construction and those planned can contribute to a wider understanding of this debate, and help to fuel it. Given that the river is one of the world's great rivers, has a unique hydrology, and a biodiversity second only to the Amazon, this is worthwhile public information.

While introducing stand-alone pages on planned and under-construction dams may not be the best way of getting this information out there, we would appreciate ideas for how we can provide this service, without violating any of Wikipedia's protocols. We would also appreciate advice and guidance on whether or not we should be linking up with particular Wikipedia projects.

Any ideas and suggestions much appreciated.

Hi Rechmaduong, hope you have read some of the welcome info I posted on your talk page. The menu links should help you wikify the articles you are creating about Dams. Good luck. --Visik (talk) 07:06, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

List of township-level divisions of Anhui

Hello. Yes, by strange cooincidence I viewed that page yesterday and remembered we needed to create the lists for the other provinces. If you could help this would be great, first of all though I need to cleanup the links for Anhui. Eventually I want to have every township listed by province.♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:52, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

If I get time around it, will help out with the translation work. Busy updating tags for WPCHINA assessments and other stuff. --Visik (talk) 08:35, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Pronouns

Hi there, I really appreciate you refactoring your comment on my RfA to be gender neutral. It means a lot to me. Of course, thank you also for reading and commenting on my request. Best, Danger (talk) 01:33, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

No worries. I read the intro to your RFA and did take note of your preference. But when it came to making a !vote. totally forgot about it. Re-read my own comments and spotted the mistakes, rectified it. wish you luck :) --Visik (talk) 03:47, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Stub categories

Hi, re this edit - please don't add stub categories directly into articles - instead, add the relevant stub template. This will categorise the article appropriately, but will prevent the page from showing up in Wikipedia:Database reports/Stubs included directly in stub categories. --Redrose64 (talk) 21:28, 13 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Visik, so far is that the page will consider to keep once we had tag the proper reference? Thanks! Felixlhk (talk) 06:32, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Hi Felixlhk, thanks for your message. I did check out the references you provide on the article. They look alright, but the article probably needs an expansion to meet more criteria for WP:BLP. The general notice on the page, stats Please do not remove this tag unless the article has at least one such source.

I think you met the criteria, so you can go ahead and remove the notice if you like. good luck. --Visik (talk) 06:40, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Will there be anything happen if I didn't remove the tag? If not, I did rather let the administrators to decide. Thanks! Felixlhk (talk) 00:13, 19 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi Visik, thanks a lot for the help on the page. Learn a lot from you. Felixlhk (talk) 03:27, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

=========

I added inline citations to this page, but the Error flag still appears on top of page. How do I get rid of that? Did you add it? I am new to Wiki, so I don't know how to do a lot of things- like even ask someone for help. RonRice (talk) 05:09, 25 January 2011 (UTC) I just deleted the line that added the Error Flag and that seems to work, but I am wondering if I have added inline citations correctly. I added an Infobox artist, too. I can't figure out how to add only Birth & Death Years, and no Dates- But still show the Age at Death automaticly. I expect to do several architects now, so would appreciate any tips you can give me on this page, so I can use it as a model. I'd love to learn how to add a photo or 2, also. Thanks for your help. Speedy deletion converted to PROD: Las Islas Donde Nace La Luna

Hello Visik. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Las Islas Donde Nace La Luna to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question. The subject of the article is clear, this book, and A7 doesn't apply to books. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 10:28, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
