Images

[edit]

Yo! Thsi was what I could find regarding how to send images to wikipedia.

Making images yourself

[edit]

You can take a photograph with your digital camera, mobile phone with integrated digital camera, draw an image digitally, perhaps with a graphics tablet, or scan drawings or photos taken with a film camera and upload the image.

Finding images on the Internet

[edit]

An extensive list of free image resources by topic is at Wikipedia:Public domain image resources. Useful general purpose image search engines include Google Image Search, Picsearch and YotoPhoto. Flickr has a Creative Commons section at http://www.flickr.com/creativecommons. Images with Attribution and Attribution-ShareAlike may be used on Wikipedia subject to the licence terms.

If you find an image on the Internet that is not available freely, you can email the copyright owner and also ask for their permission to release it under the GFDL adapting the permission requests.

If you cannot find a suitable image, you can make a request at Wikipedia:Requested pictures so that another contributor might find or create a suitable image.

Uploading images

[edit]

Logged in users can upload media to Wikipedia. It is recommended that free media (but not fair use media) be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons (separate registration and login there is required). Media on the Commons can be linked to in the same way as media of the same name on to Wikipedia.

Media can be uploaded to the English Wikipedia at special:upload and to the Wikimedia Commons at commons:special:upload.

Each image comes with its own image description page. On that page should be documented the source, author, and copyright status of the image using one of the pre-defined copyright tags. It is also important to add descriptive (who, what, when, why) and technical information (equipment, software, etc.), which will be useful and informative to later editors and readers, and which it's likely that only you, the uploader, can supply. Wikipedia also has a proposed guideline on the use of sexually explicity images.

good luck.-Ryan shell 01:23, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Mouth of Garbage Cinema, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. A tag has been placed on Humberto Mauro, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Finngall talk 16:40, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blood car

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Blood car, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability).
