Your submission at Articles for creation
[edit]I noticed your submission in Articles for creation, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/International Federation of Shipmasters' Association. Thanks! It will be reviewed by a volunteer soon.
Before it can be added to Wikipedia, your submission should have references. All articles on Wikipedia should have inline, numbered references after facts, showing the 'reliable source' (a newspaper, book, etc.) where the information can be checked, so that all information is verifiable.
Here's an example of how to add references:
He likes tea.<ref> Smith, John. "[http://foonews.com/Article42 Interview with Chzz]", Foo News, 1 April 2010. Retrieved 2011-05-22. </ref>
== References ==
{{reflist}}
That makes the references automatically display as small numbers[1] which will link to the details in the section titled == References == at the end. You can see that example in action here.
Please add references to your submission, which will be reviewed as soon as possible. See also, Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners. If you need any help, just put {{helpme}} at the end of this page, followed by a question or get into our live help chat chanel at #wikipedia-en-help connect.

Hi. The way we handle an abbreviation or acronym that refers to the subject of an article is by using a redirect, or a disambiguation page if there are several possibilities - see USSRA for an example of how a redirect works, or RAC for an example of a disambiguation page. (Sometimes we use both, but there's no need to consider that here). You can also find out about redirects at Wikipedia:Redirect.
What we don't do is create an article containing nothing but a one-line definition with a link to the article, which is why I changed IFSMA to a proper redirect. Once it is a redirect, you should then not link to it from the article it directs to, or that creates a circular redirect back to itself. I've changed it back the way it should be done now.
Also, if you do not agree with a change an editor makes (such as mine), you should not just revert it without explanation, you should discuss it either on the article's Talk page or on the Talk page of the editor who made the change.
If you have any questions or don't understand anything related to this (or to anything else), please feel free to come on over to my Talk page and ask me - or just reply here and I'll see it. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 23:45, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. In International Federation of Shipmasters' Associations, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Commodore (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 13:59, 6 December 2011 (UTC)
