[edit]Hello, I'm JCMLuis. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Draft:George Benson Fox have been undone because they did not appear constructive. - Thanks for you help. I appreciate any guidance as I'm a novice editor and content creator. Any guidance on how to add photographs? I can't seem to figure that out with what I've found that is relevant to this posting WyoHome1 (talk) 14:22, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- You can check out this page, but simply find an image by looking up with the File: prefix, but it is better to go to Wikimedia Commons, since there are over 90 million photos hosted there and it should be easier to search in. Once you find an image, you can input it in the page like this:
[[File:IMAGENAME.EXTENSION (.jpg, .png, .svg, etc.)]]
- I'm not really good at giving instructions but hopefully you find this helpful. Also the notice from me was accidental, sorry about that. luis 💬 14:31, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
- I'll mess around with it but don't want to create a problem with it being published.
- I'm simultaneously working the project to digitize the collection of letters noted and was the one who applied for and received the grant to do so. There will be a trove of information made a available in digital form once that project is completed. WyoHome1 (talk) 14:34, 2 February 2023 (UTC)
Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Wyoming, Ohio. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 14:58, 8 February 2023 (UTC)
- Sorry about that - I was surprised it let me. Prior to that I had just plain text 'George Benson Fox' under Notable People. Is that OK as long as it's not linked? WyoHome1 (talk) 15:02, 8 February 2023 (UTC)

- Thank you for the feedback. There was previous reference to one of the references that it was not acceptible - does this comment here also refer to the other references as well?
- Additionally, the was a message about the not meeting the requirement for a restaurant. Would it help to change the article from appearing as if it's an eatery and instead making it a different category? 66.161.223.130 (talk) 17:14, 13 February 2023 (UTC)

- I have seen other published articles about university residence halls on Miami University's campus.
- Is it advised I edit the main topic to be about Tallawanda Hall/Tallawanda Apartments and insert these parts about the campus traditions that originated here?
- The article wasn't intended to be about a "restaurant" as is described in the Wikipedia guidelines.
- Thank you WyoHome1 (talk) 13:43, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

- Thank you. I have two articles awaiting review. The Tallawanda Hall article is revised from a previous topic that wasn't 'notable enough' by itself. Creating the page on the building seems a common and acceptable practice.
- The second is George Benson Fox article WyoHome1 (talk) 15:09, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- ok. could you please link to those articles? thanks. Sm8900 (talk) 18:49, 19 February 2023 (UTC)
- Here is the article I re-titled from a restaurant to a Miam iUniversity residence hall, as it was originally rejected due to WP:NORG
- Draft:Tallawanda Hall (Miami University)
- There are numerous other Residence Halls that have their own Wikis and within the page provide lore, and other notable topics related to the building. In this case, I retitled the topic and rewrote the article to be primarily about Tallawanda Hall instead of the notable and recognizable campus tradition that was there; insteasd including it within the building's page.
- Here is the other unrelated topic I've composed and am awaiting review of. This is not related to the Tallawanda Hall article at all.

- Thank you. At least one of the references is not tied to Miami University but rather is a regional history library. Would you request sources be otherwise omitted? There are a handful of other residence halls at various colleges and universities that have published pages with little to no reference or even any history tied to it such as a historical marker and historic walking tour published by the city it resides it, again not the university.

October 2023
[edit]Hi WyoHome1! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Wyoming, Ohio that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Panian513 16:12, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Apologies. Should I change anything specifically?
- Also, when I have the time I was planning to go back and add citations which I think is noted as well WyoHome1 (talk) 16:17, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- There's nothing in particular to change, other than adding citations to previously added content (thank you for offering to do so, by the way - I put "more citation needed section" tags on the Wyoming article on places that need them). I just noticed that almost all of your edits were incorrectly marked as minor edits, and wanted to inform you on what does and what doesn't qualify as a minor edit. Panian513 16:26, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- Can you please look at my other submission from June entitled Tallawanda Hall (MIami University)? I never received a reply from the person on why my submission wasn't permitted along with the other pages that have been regarding residence halls at Miami U - those other ones having fewer 3rd party references and less information WyoHome1 (talk) 17:00, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
- I'm afraid that I don't have any experience (so far) attempting to get a draft published, so I can't offer any pertinent advice regarding that. Panian513 19:08, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Tallawanda Hall (Miami University)
[edit]Hello, WyoHome1. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Tallawanda Hall".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. ✗plicit 14:12, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- Please advise on its undeletion. I would still like to publish this topic however do not know the best way to go about it. There are other Miami U and other universities that have residence halls as page topics with less info than I have provided in draft.
- Thank you WyoHome1 (talk) 19:50, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
