Global account
[edit]I have re-named User:Skolan124 to User:Xenus. Unfortunately since you had already created an account under this name, I renamed that account to User:Xenus (usurped again). Let me know if you'd like that account's name changed. Also, I had to delete your global account in order to carry all this out, so please re-create it as soon as possible. Regards — Dan | talk 00:42, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hmm.. That was a bit tricky... Yes, you may rename that account. Xenus (talk) 07:59, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Featured content etiquette
[edit]Hi Xenus, I saw the nominated Everglades for a featured topic. It is usually best when nominating articles that you have not worked on for any featured process that you first leave a note on the talk page or with the significant contributors of the article(s). The people who regularly work on the article are the ones in the best position to know if it is ready for a nomination, as they likely know the content better than anyone else. You should also mention in nominations that you are not the primary contributor - otherwise it could be read as if you were taking credit for someone else's work. I would ask that you clarify the featured topic nomination to add that Moni3 is the primary contributor. Karanacs (talk) 17:20, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
- Ok. Other wikis, other rules. Xenus (talk) 17:59, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Retired?
[edit]I've read the Everglades FTN discussion multiple times, and I really don't understand what part of the discussion made you want to leave. People supported the nomination until they realized that Moni didn't think it was ready yet, and then they opposed out of courtesy for her. No one is mad at you, no one is making accusations, and certainly no one wants you to retire. The point here is not to pout and whine because people didn't like the way you did something, the point is to learn a simple lesson and move on, something every editor has experienced. In regards to your retirement, you linked to WP:AGF. You would do well to adhere to those guidelines - disagreements and arguments are just part of the wiki experience. Now get off your tush, put your favorite editing hat back on, and say to yourself "Fuck all that shit. I rule!" and start producing the great work that you're capable of! --Cryptic C62 · Talk 15:01, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
- Regarding Cryptic's above comment, I commissioned the users to apologize to you, but who knows if you'll ever get it. I'm sorry, and I hope you choose to come back. --Meldshal 01:09, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- I just asked Moni to give a short apology to you, now I think that you should come back, assuming she will apologize. --Meldshal 01:13, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind comments. She does'nt need to apologize - it was actually my fault, but I felt bitten and I did not expect that treatment. Xenus (talk) 07:44, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Pfft. I felt I had gotten bitten by User:SandyGeorgia when she tore Westport Country Playhouse's GAN to shreds for having non-free images and no real content. Now I just prance around squashing spiders while shouting "Who got bitten now, huh?!" --Cryptic C62 · Talk 23:46, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks your concerns on the article. But actually I removed that section just because it has details on the demographics of the city of Bombay. Since this article is on the history, the demographic details are trivial here. Kensplanet (talk) 17:56, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
- Alright. Xenus (talk) 07:38, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
Main page redesign
[edit]Hello, Xenus! Wikipedia:2008 main page redesign proposal was recently cleared of all design entries. You may want to re-enter your design(s), based on the details here. (You can see the old list of designs here). NOTE: A survey was conducted on what users wanted to see in the new main page, you can see the results here. Straw poll
[edit]The Main Page Redesign proposal is currently conducting a straw poll in selecting five proposals before an RFC in which it will be against the current main page. You're input would be appreciated. ChyranandChloe (talk) 04:08, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Hello. I noticed your Main Page redesign proposal and I just admire the header. I hope you don't mind, but could I use the header for my proposal (oh, and thank you for your support of my proposal!)? Don't worry, I'll be sure to add attribution that the header was originally created by you if you decide to let me use it. – RyanCross (talk) 17:15, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Of course you can! I would be proud... Xenus (talk) 17:25, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- Will do. I didn't think I'd get a response that fast! Take care, – RyanCross (talk) 17:33, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- I think that was a coincidence... cheers! Xenus (talk) 17:35, 25 October 2008 (UTC)

- Hi, just to let you know some of the concerns you expressed at my proposal have been rectified. You may wish to find out what has changed. Many thanks, PretzelsTalk! 17:31, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Turkish Van Article
[edit]From TUV discussion page: I have removed the paragraph that showboats those who helped to establish the breed in TICA in the US. The Turkish Van is found all over the world and this article is accessed by a global audience. It is not appropriate to talk about the accomplishments of one specific breeder in one specific registry without giving credit to other breeders and talking about the breed's history in other registries. As many breeders would wish to see their names in the article, it would be best to leave out any and all breeder's names with the exception of those who originally established the breed. Why did you undo the revision? --Satcat27 (talk) 17:04, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I did not watch the talk page. I thought it was vandalism because you didn't provide an edit summary. Xenus (talk) 17:10, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
