[edit]Hello, I'm Jingiby. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we would like you to assume good faith while interacting with other editors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.Jingiby (talk) 09:18, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Be neutral, please
[edit]Hello @Xz1333, I would kindly ask you to alway have WP:NPOV in mind when adding new material about history of various Balkan regions. Trying to add weight to one side's view and cherrypicking sources is not per several Wikipedia policies. Thank you, Sadkσ (talk is cheap) 18:48, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
I'm not really cherrypicking sources though ?
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Xz1333! Your additions to Kosovo War have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:22, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
Removals
[edit]The reason that I removed your additions to the Kosovo War article, and moved other's text, was that I thought that whilst such material might be apt in a 'history of Kosovo' article, it was excessive detailed for a 'background to war' section, which ordinarily establishes the immediate background of tensions between two countries - or in this instance - between two ethnic groups. The section now starts with a very brief summary of C20th tensions between the two groups. It might well be that a link to a more detailed article would fit there, I'll look. Pincrete (talk) 18:20, 5 February 2022 (UTC)
I see you restored both your, and the other content. The problems are two-fold, not that anything isn't factually correct, but that there is excess detail and the details are not presented as a concise and coherent chronological narrative - as it should be. A series of almost random details doesn't help the non-specialist reader understand the background to the recent war. Pincrete (talk) 18:40, 5 February 2022 (UTC)

[edit]Your edit to Kosovo War has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. — Diannaa (talk) 01:21, 6 February 2022 (UTC)
Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Jack Frost (talk) 10:30, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
Tendentious editing and edit warring
[edit]Hello. I noticed that you appear to be engaging in Tendentious editing. Wikipedia is not the place to push one-sided or nationalist narratives. This is a particularly sensitive issue in the WP:BALKANS area of editing. Content should be written from a neutral point of view (see WP:NPOV). I also see you are engaging in edit-warring across several articles, while also editing logged out. Please try to reach consensus by using the respective article's talk page or editors' talk pages and discuss changes instead of repeatedly inserting contentious material. Continuing this kind of disruptive behavior might result in you being blocked. Thank you. --Griboski (talk) 18:57, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
Recent additions
[edit]Hello, I'm ElderZamzam. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Yugoslav colonization of Kosovo have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thanks.
- Please refrain from adding text that does not sit with the content that is already written in the article, especially in the lede. Your recent contributions are poorly referenced and if you have any issues with adding citations, the following guide is of immense help WP:REFB. ElderZamzam (talk) 23:06, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
