Pair Go

[edit]

Hi, I've redirected the Pair Go article to the article on Go Variants since the main article was recently deleted after a deletion discussion – Thjarkur (talk) 08:33, 10 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Concern regarding Draft:Pair Go

Notice

The article World Pair Go Association has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A very long way from meeting WP:ORG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, YamadaAtsushi. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page World Pair Go Association, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. signed, Rosguill talk 17:21, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The page consists similar information as other language pages.
I would like to keep the page here.
Thank you for your understanding. YamadaAtsushi (talk) 13:46, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You need to address the COI concern. signed, Rosguill talk 13:55, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see you have reinstated the article at Pair Go rather than address the COI concerns. Noting that this is also in contravention of a prior AfD discussion, I'm going to have to interpret this as an example of undisclosed paid editing and/or inability to abide by consensus. You can explain yourself in an unblock request. signed, Rosguill talk 13:58, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.

Request reason:

Your reason here I have mainly moved the content from one page to another. Therefore, there are nothing that my account should be blocked. I will be updating the latest competition information in the Pair Go page.

Decline reason:

I don't understand what you are trying to say here; this doesn't speak to the reason for the block(Undisclosed paid editing in violation of the WMF Terms of Use, likely employee of the World Pair Go Association, not engaging with COI inquiry, edit warring to reinstate article against AfD). 331dot (talk) 12:45, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Request reason:

Moving the content from one page to another involves no interest to any party. It just helps the Wikipedia viewers to clearly view the contents. Therefore, I hope I will be unblocked, because I am not involved in COI.

Decline reason:

Moving content from one page to another would not affect the requirement to declare your conflict of interest. You need to stop dancing around the issue. Yamla (talk) 22:50, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
