WFSX-FM (92.5 FM, "92.5 Fox News") is a commercial radio station located in Estero, Florida, broadcasting to the Fort Myers, Florida area.

History

Until September 17, 2009, WFSX-FM aired an oldies music format as WNTY. The station then changed to a News-Talk format, branded under the on-air name "92.5 Fox News".

The station changed from playing country music (as WUSV) on March 26, 2008. Six days later, the call letters were changed to WNTY.

On September 25, 2009, WNTY changed its call letters to WFSX, to go with their "Fox News" branding.

Simulcasting

WFSX-FM's programming used to be heard on WNOG (1270 AM) in Naples, Florida, as well as WFSX (1240 AM) in Fort Myers. It was announced that, as of July 22, 2013, Fox News programming will no longer be available on 1240 AM and 1270 AM;[1] at that time, those stations changed to a sports radio format (with the Fort Myers station becoming WFWN).
