"Wake Up in the Sky"
Song

"Wake Up in the Sky" is a song by American rapper Gucci Mane, American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars and American rapper Kodak Black.[1] The song was released on digital music services on September 14, 2018 as the second single from Gucci's thirteenth studio album, Evil Genius (2018).[2]

Background

In late August 2018, Mars posted in his Instagram a photo next to Kodak, giving the first signs of a partnership.[3] On September 13, Gucci finally announced the collaboration for release at midnight the next day.[4] It interpolates "Unforgettable" (1951) by Nat King Cole.
