West Sadsbury Township is a township in Chester County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 2,444 at the 2010 census.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 10.7 square miles (28 km2), all of it land.

At the 2010 census, the township was 90.9% non-Hispanic White, 5.0% Black or African American, 0.1% Native American, 0.4% Asian, and 1.2% were two or more races. 2.4% of the population were of Hispanic or Latino ancestry[4].
As of the census[5] of 2000, there were 2,444 people, 802 households, and 645 families residing in the township. The population density was 229.1 people per square mile (88.4/km²). There were 818 housing units at an average density of 76.7/sq mi (29.6/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 93.45% White, 5.16% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.29% Asian, 0.33% from other races, and 0.61% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.78% of the population.
There were 802 households, out of which 39.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.2% were married couples living together, 7.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.5% were non-families. 16.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.04 and the average family size was 3.43.
In the township the population was spread out, with 29.3% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 24.3% from 45 to 64, and 10.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 102.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.8 males.
The median income for a household in the township was $52,031, and the median income for a family was $60,909. Males had a median income of $40,765 versus $25,966 for females. The per capita income for the township was $19,839. About 4.2% of families and 7.2% of the population were below the poverty line, including 10.5% of those under age 18 and 6.6% of those age 65 or over.
