1:15-1:45 - Welcome, and presentation on Wikipedia
1:45-2:15 - Discussion and demos
2:15 - ~2:45 - presentation over, but anyone may stay to schedule other Wikipedia support for faculty and students at Fordham

The event will start with a presentation which gives the Wikipedia community perspective on the following:

  1. To what extent does Wikipedia matter in health communication?
  2. How does one edit Wikipedia?
  3. What is Wikipedia's quality control system?

Goals[edit]

  • All participants will gain the ability to describe the nature of Wikipedia as a communication channel
  • Participants will know how to access support in New York City for contributing to Wikipedia, if they choose to request it

The event is hosted by Fordham University with support from the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues and Manhattan Psychological Association.
