  • Assessment department – focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's articles about Micronations or the people of Micronations.

  • Micronation convention – a proposed convention intended to apply to all relevant articles in the Micronations category on Wikipedia.
    • I just re-open the discussion to update the definition of micronationalism --Delle89 (talk) 17:54, 8 January 2016 (UTC)

Open tasks[edit]

  • Republic of Molossia - Needs to be re-written to conform with numerous WP policies. And, it says "in the U.S.", which is not true. Molossia is surrounded by, not in, the U.S.
  • New Utopia - Article needs to be re-written, as content and tone of recently added material was found to be inaccurate and legally contentious. There is ongoing discussion on the article talk page concerning this.
  • Grand Duchy of Avram - Existing references need to be cited in-line.
  • Sovereign State of Aeterna Lucina - Additional media references need to be sourced and added as citations.
  • Aerican Empire - Wholesale cleanup required to conform with WP policies.
  • Kingdom of Elleore - Needs significant expansion, addition of references and citations.
  • Ladonia (micronation) - Add in-line citations.
  • Wirtland - Needs to be updated in connection with release of gold coin, creation of Global Antiwar Party, other developments
  • Holy Empire of Reunion - There are many references to be added (more than 20) that are on scanned images that can be found here <link redacted> and they should be cited in-line

Articles that need to be created[edit]

  • Republic of Danielland - Danielland, The Republic of Danielland, or the R.O.D., was created in February 2015 by Trenton Daniel. Here is a link to their official web page: (R.O.D. official web page)
  • Kingdom of Boomeria - This micronation was begun in the late 1950’s by Preston Boomer and a group of High School students. There have been several television programs featuring Boomeria over the decades including a BBC special filmed for the Queen of England’s visit to the United States in 1976 and more recently “Weird Homes of North America” did a feature on the Micronation. Here is a link to a Mental Floss article (Kingdom of Boomeria)
  • Akhzivland
  • Herbatrean Federation
  • Kingdom of Hay-on-Wye - Well-known British micronation founded in the 1970s by eccentric and bibliophile Richard Booth.
    • I really don't think this is needed as a separate article; it's mentioned in the town's article and that's surely sufficient? --kingboyk 22:10, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
      • Currently the Haye on Wye article barely mentions Richard Booth, when in fact his micronation antics are a very large part of the reason why the town is as famous as it is today. This is a prime example of undue weight, and of confusing 2 different entities because they happen to be located in the same place and have similar names.--Gene_poole 01:40, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
  • Principality of Wikingland - Planned 1980s artificial island tax haven in the North Sea.
  • Principality of Ponderosa - Farm in Victoria whose owners built a moat around their property and ripped off Australian taxpayers. The 2 Rigoli "princes" (father and son) were successfully prosecuted and jailed in 2006.
  • Independent Sovereign State of Australia
  • Barony of Caux
  • State of Sabotage
  • New Atlantis (micronation)
  • Kingdom of Robland- Flemish television micronation (Robland Dutch wikipedia)
  • Grand Duchy of Flandrensis- Mentioned on national (Belgium) television more than once, yet some pages on micronations have no reliable, if any at all, sources and yet they don't get deleted.
  • Republic of Wadonstol
  • League of Secessionist States - I think the LoSS deserves an article, being old, and having participated in so many phases of micronationalism, since the 80's

Recognized content[edit]

Note: Neither the FA nor the GA are exactly a micronation nor are they related to any and neither could use the {{Infobox Micronation}} appropriately. The most substantial micronation, Sealand, would rather be referred to as a microstate and belong to Wikipedia:WikiProject European Microstates, but most others agree that the gap between Sealand and, say, the Vatican City is large.

Can't see a easy way to give a heads up on this page, so editing this section seems to be the least damaging edit? anyway, I was surprised to read this today!
