Trundling

[edit]

"Trun" appears nowhere in the target.   ~ Tom.Reding (talkdgaf)  21:18, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - Implausible redirect unless/until the term is defined and sourced within the glossary article. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v threads critiques 23:45, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

R. Tucker

[edit]

It isn't usual to have a redirect of a single initial and a surname without a good reason, and I can't determine what that reason is here. "R. Tucker" is very ambiguous: see Tucker (surname)#R. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 20:50, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Slender man murder

[edit]

No Murder took place. Implausible redirect. Blethering Scot 19:58, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Outsmart

[edit]

that's a common word. what do? cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 19:03, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

world but with numbers!

[edit]

vague as h*ck. don't even think world 1-1 would be a fitting target for world 1 cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 18:52, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Red neckrampage the game

[edit]

very implausible pile of writing mistakes that started off as... an ad cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:40, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Duty calls

[edit]

that's a vague phrase. no idea if it should be soft redirected to wikt:duty calls, or just deleted, but the term doesn't seem primarily associated with bulletstorm cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:29, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Duke Nukem Whenever

[edit]

same-ish case as "duke nukem for never" below, different target for some reason. seems a little more commonly used though cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:27, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete The history is whenever the media asked about the release of Duke Nukem Forever before its 2011 launch, the developer said, "When it's done." but never whenever, so this redirect makes no possibility. – The Grid (talk) 12:56, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Extraction Point: Alien Shootout.

[edit]

pointless point. cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:24, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Duke nukem for never

[edit]

that's actually pretty funny, but seemingly not commonly used even before the game released cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:20, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Duke 4

[edit]

vague, and it's arguably not even the 4rd mainline installment (not that that means much with dick kickem) cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:18, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Duke Nukem (company names!)

[edit]

two different targets for each- i'm not getting into the confusing history of apogee and 3d realms here, would the series article be the better target here? cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:09, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pig cop

[edit]

similarly to doom not actually having invented demons or shotguns, duke nukem 3d didn't invent the concept of comparing american police to raw bacon. they're also a recurring enemy in the series, so it would probably be better off retargeted to the series' article anyway cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:03, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

wait, found the primary topic, it's in list of police-related slang terms, under p, so i'll vote for retargeting there. shoutouts to the unsourced mention of duki nuki there cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:15, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Redirecting to PRST makes no sense here as the slang term is just "pig". While pig cops are a common enemy in Duke Nukem, they're just one of a multitude of enemies designed based off of the slang (another example being literal pig cops in Pizza Tower) and so the term is too ambiguous to justify a redirect nowadays. —Jéské Couriano v^_^v threads critiques 23:53, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Neo-newtonian

[edit]

This isn't explained at the target. 1234qwer1234qwer4 08:44, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete: term is not used anywhere else on Wikipedia, and I see too many varied usages in sources for it to be targeted to any specific one. This use case certainly isn't the first I would suggest. If they had to go anywhere, I would think Newtonian would make the most sense, but without the wider usage on site it feels like keeping them for the sake of keeping. Wiimake

[edit]

Neologism not mentioned in the target. The term is not mentioned anywhere on Wikipedia. Mia Mahey (talk) 05:40, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I can see it (and the alternate "Wii-make") being used in some news coverage, most prominently "The Case for Wiimakes", but not nearly enough that it would demand usage in the target article or anything. Not sure it does any harm, but the use case seems limited as well. I guess I lean toward deletion, but not strongly. QuietHere (talk | contributions) 14:18, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
i would ALMOST suggest retargeting to the vaguely klonoa-shaped travesty we were cursed with in 2008 as a half-joke, as that seems to be the primary topic for the entire term (not for a good reason, mind you), but that'd be cheap. as is, no idea if it would be better to retarget it to some list of wii games, add a mention there, or delete, but i'll stick with adding a mention for now cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 14:35, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Palestien

[edit]

More likely a misspelling of Palestine - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 07:50, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Retarget to Palestine - Apprently a common misspelling: [5] Ca talk to me! 10:07, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Baguette City

[edit]

Unlikely search term not mentioned at target. Clovermoss🍀 (talk) 06:39, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like an {{r from meme}}, but a pretty small meme. Most uses online seem to be about restaurants instead. jlwoodwa (talk) 07:01, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
retarget to france delete as a joke so common and predictable it could realistically refer to any single place in france cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:06, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Calls for Joe Biden to suspend his 2024 United States presidential campaign

Power flower

things named "power flower" have been in three mario games so far (though they're all different things), and none of them seem to be the primary target for the term cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 17:33, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Huh? * Pppery * it has begun... 05:40, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

those sound more like pokémon fangames than political terms. delete per "what" cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 13:58, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete I searched on duck.com and saw no sources using this term. Best I found is Ron Paul 2012 presidential campaign § "Blue Republican" movement Ca talk to me! 16:16, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Democrat red, retarget Republican blue to Republican Blues. We don't have articles on either of these topics, as those political parties don't use those colours, and judging by the stats nobody is searching for them either. Second preference is retargetting both to Political colour. BugGhost🦗👻 11:37, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The colors used for US general presidential elections switched between red and blue prior to the 2000 US election. Republicans as blue in 1980 [6] and 1976 election. [7] I think a redirect to both red states and blue states is the most plausible version here. – The Grid (talk) 13:06, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Democratic parties in other countries use red. Thryduulf (talk) 13:11, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Safe state

[edit]

Dubious primacy - searching for "safe state" is giving me lots of non-political ways a state can be safe. Suggest deletion unless a better target is found. * Pppery * it has begun... 05:38, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

delete as vague, as it's also subject to varying definitions of "state". could refer to a move in a fighting game being plus on block for all we know cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 14:00, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Change into disambiguation page. Doing our readers a better service than only pointing to one meaning or non at all. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 19:17, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. This is far too vague. I actually think the reader is better served by not cluttering the Search tool with a potentially confusing redirect. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:25, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Vague redirect with potential bias in reference to either subject of the current target. Steel1943 (talk) 21:16, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: The redirect was created in 2011 to point to Swing state which says .. the states that regularly lean to a single party are known as "safe states" (or more specifically as "red states" and "blue states" depending on the partisan leaning). Jay 💬 15:21, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong warp

[edit]

No mention of "wrong warp" exists in the target. Mia Mahey (talk) 00:36, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It's a video game glitch where a warp sends you to the wrong place. Secondary coverage is bare but passable – Ars Technica and Kotaku have a paragraph and a sentence on it respectively. They don't connect it to sequence breaking though, so it's hard to justify describing it in that article. Maybe it could go in Glossary of video game terms?
It's also an episode of Meta Runner, but that's definitely not the primary topic. jlwoodwa (talk) 08:11, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, Ars Technica says wrong warping allows skipping a large section of World 8-4 – sounds like sequence breaking to me. jlwoodwa (talk) 08:16, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
it's a sequence breaking glitch used in super mario bros 3 speedruns, so they're all technically correct cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 15:57, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
the term seems pretty much exclusively used to refer to a speedrunning glitch in super mario bros. 3, so i'd say retarget to it. or to speedrunning if there's no room to add a mention to any other targets cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 11:24, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Keep - wrong warping is a technique/glitch where a warp (eg. through a door/loading screen/teleporter/whatever) takes you to the "wrong" place, which is used by sequence breakers. It's used in multiple Mario games (at least original SMB and SMB3, probably others), Pokemon games, Elden Ring, and others. Should be kept because a wrong warp is a way of sequence breaking. Would also be fine with retargetting to Glitching or Speedrunning if consensus leans that way. BugGhost🦗👻 11:56, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
