Xu Yifan (Chinese: 徐一幡, born 8 August 1988 in Tianjin) is a Chinese female professional tennis player playing on the ITF and WTA Women's Circuits. Her highest WTA singles ranking is 153 on 27 April 2015. On 15 June 2015, she reached her highest WTA (Women's Tennis Association) Doubles ranking of No.54 in the world. She was a Finalist in Women's Doubles at the 2008 China Open in Beijing, and Quarterfinalist at the 2014 US Open in Women's Doubles.
2011
Xu posted good results at the 2011 Guangzhou International Women's Open where she fought her way from the qualifying draw unseeded, defeating 7th seed Wang Qiang and 10th seed Chan Chin-Wei to qualify. In the first round, she lost to Mandy Minella 2–6, 7–6(5), 6–0.
2014
On 2 September 2014, Xu made it to the Quarter Finals in Women's Doubles at the 2014 US Open, where she defeated the 6th seeded team Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears, and the 11th seeded team Lucie Hradecka and Michaella Krajicek before her partner Zarina Diyas retired.
On 28 October 2014, Xu came back from a 5-1 game deficit for the win in the Ningbo Challenger series against her old rival, Zhang Kailin.
2015
In January, Xu partnered with two-time Grand Slam Doubles champion Peng Shuai in women's doubles at the 2015 Australian Open. Even though Peng was ranked number 3 in the world in doubles at the time, they were unseeded and lost in the first round to 15th seeds Kimiko Date-Krumm and Casey Dellacqua.
