I gave up the bit voluntarily over a year ago upon request regarding issues regarding copyright violations. Here is a link to the discussion. There have been no copyvio issues since then but I have not requested the admin bit back because I figure the further back in history those transgressions lie, the better chance I have of getting it back. --Pseudo-Richard (talk) 05:40, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I believe Richard is operating in all good faith, but unfortunately did create quite a problem with copyright issues which (due to our dreadful backlog) is still some ways from being sorted. The question is whether he has a full understanding of Wikipedia's approach to copyright now. If so, then I would certainly enthusiastically support his getting autopatrolled right. I'd be happy to conduct a random review, but since I have limited volunteer time on Wikipedia wouldn't be able to get to it until this weekend. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 11:11, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I just thought rules are rules whichever admin applied them. My articles are not challenged; they just go down the list in yellow and no doubt therefore add add extra work for patrollers. Not a problem for me - your the boss :) Acabashi (talk) 03:17, 15 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is the second time that I am requesting this feature. I was told that only 7 created articles was insufficient to warrant Autopatrol rights. Since then, I have created 9 new articles with several more under construction in my sandbox(s). I work mostly on WikiProject South Africa and hope that given the increasing rate at which I am producing articles, I will be allowed to use this feature. --User:DiscipleOfKnowledge (talk) 19:36, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
