Björn Vleminckx (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈbjɵrn ˈvleːmɪŋks]; born 1 December 1985 in Boom, Antwerp) is a Belgian footballer currently playing for Göztepe Izmir.

Career

Vleminckx began his career with Beveren and joined in July 2005 to Oostende, after just one year left the club to sign with KV Mechelen. On 6 June 2009 N.E.C. bought the 23-year-old striker of KV Mechelen for €1,8 million, he signed a four-year contract until July 2013.^[1]

Vleminckx was the top goalscorer in the Eredivisie during the 2010–11 season, with 23 goals.

On 25 March 2011, Vleminckx signed a contract starting from June 2011 at Club Brugge. Brugge paid €3,3 million to NEC as transfer sum.^[2] On 5 January 2013, Vleminckx signed a loan contract until end of season 2012–2013 at Gençlerbirliği. Loan fee is undisclosed yet. In his first match with the club, he had a fantastic debut in which he scored 4 goals in a 5–3 win over Antalyaspor.^[3] In June 2013, he signed a two-year contract with Kayseri Erciyesspor.
