Haileybury Turnford (formerly Turnford School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Turnford, Hertfordshire, England.
Previously a community school administered by Hertfordshire County Council, in September 2015 Turnford School converted to academy status and was renamed Haileybury Turnford. The school is now sponsored by Haileybury and Imperial Service College, an independent school in Hertford. However, Haileybury Turnford continues to coordinate with Hertfordshire County Council for admissions.
Conversion
In July 2015, the school closed its gates for the last time as 'Turnford School'. It shall re-open under the new name 'Haileybury Turnford Academy' in September 2015. Haileybury College, a private school in Hertford, is making significant changes to the school. For example, a new uniform is being introduced and the school colours are being changed from green to magenta. Additionally, pupils will finish at 4 pm instead of 3 pm to allow time for 'PREP', the new after school system.
Notable former pupils
