Missing word in quote[edit]

The Tolkien quote from Elda Parmalamberon appears to be missing a word: "after the Creation all those were Maiar" should be something like "after the Creation all those who were Maiar". I don't have the relevant issue at hand; can someone check the quote? -- Elphion (talk) 19:05, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ainur (Middle-earth)Ainu (Middle-earth) – Singular cf Maia, Vala --Relisted. Steel1943 (talk) 08:47, 4 November 2013 (UTC) Thu (talk) 20:26, 20 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose – "Ainur" and "Maiar" are collective forms in addition to plural. While title shouldn't be plural as opposed to singular, it's OK to be collective as opposed to singulative. Also, there are Æsir and Vanir, which aren't singular. --Article editor (talk) 18:35, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment -- The lack of traffic here suggests that it ain't broke. There's already a redirect. People won't have trouble finding the article. There are plenty of more pressing things that need attention. -- Elphion (talk) 12:07, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, plural is the right way to speak of a collective. Torquemama007 (talk) 13:26, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Move?[edit]

This was moved from Ainur (Middle-earth) to Ainur in Middle-earth by @Chiswick Chap with rationale "more descriptive title". But, technically, I think this requires a RM (since the page already had a RM above), and I think MoS prefers parenthesis. I was about to move this myself but I noticed the RM and history. I'd suggest that best practices might be to move this back then start a RM for the title that Chiswick Chap prefers and see what happens?
