Untitled[edit]

Hi there. Inexperienced wikipedia user here. This game has just recently been announced. Little information is available at the moment but I wanted to start the article with what has been announced, with the plan to add more as more information is given. There are a fair few articles similarly placed [1]. Squogfloogle (talk) 04:35, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I, as a mere accountless user, am wondering why this article has been proposed for deletion at all, let alone speedy. What's the problem? Articles like Sorcery (video game) are barely any better. This page could easily meet that standard with a small amount of work. 86.158.216.107 (talk) 07:11, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"No evidence of notability"? What is the criteria for notability of a video game? Why has the aforementioned Amphibian Man (video game) been allowed to be remain an almost contentless stub while this one - which is actually better - is going to be deleted for its pains? It's published by Ubisoft and is one of the few games announced to be controlled by the new Kinect and Playstation Move systems, and has been noted by several several external sources. I'm sure the article will improve as more information is forthcoming. I'm going rogue and am replacing the deletion notice with the "this article may not meet the notability guidelines for products and services" template, as featured on the even less notable TERA. 86.158.216.107 (talk) 15:26, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sequel or "spiritual successor"?[edit]

Hey. What makes this a "spiritual successor" and not a sequel? The same developer/designer is presenting a gameplay extension in a continuous story extension.--98.193.142.134 (talk) 20:01, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Updated. Originally, not enough was known regarding the game's argument and precise gameplay. Now, there is no reason to not consider it a sequel, even if it is visually different from its predecessor.Elideb (talk) 17:07, 24 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It's a prequel[edit]

The plot of the game is about the evends before Rez. It tells the story of the creation of the AI that controlls Eden, the same one who you try to reboot in Rez. So the plot is in the same universe as Rez and takes place before Rez, hence a prequel. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.136.122.18 (talk) 15:08, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected the sequel mention and merged the several places where it was said to be either a sequel or a prequel. Elideb (talk) 14:09, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Where is the evidence that Child of Eden is a prequel to Rez? Kuro (talk) 07:10, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Suicide[edit]

The bit at the article's end mentions a suicide possibly in conjunction with the game. I've been trying to find any mention of this anywhere in the world (it's unsourced in the article) but I can't even find rumors or an urban legend, let alone a legitimate news story. Wikipedia is the only mention of this tale. If anybody knows where this came from, I'd appreciate it. The S (talk) 08:18, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll get to this soon. ♦ jaguar 14:45, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

After reading through the article I'm content with giving this an outright pass; it meets the GA criteria on all fronts including comprehensibility, well-written prose and good use of reliable sources. I truly couldn't find anything to raise. This is definitely a fresh GA, well done. I remember seeing this game out in the shops a lot back in the day! jaguar 20:41, 29 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
