The result of the move request was: moved. General consensus that a dab page is not necessary, and that a hatnote is sufficient. (non-admin closure) Captain Jack Sparrow (talk) 03:31, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Elliot (RAF officer)Chris Elliot – The only other subject with an exactly matching name has been deleted via AfD. I think any potentially ambiguous topics can be added to Christopher Elliott and resolved with a hatnote. • Oppose. Very common misspelling for actor/comedian Chris Elliott. If anything, "Chris Elliot" (one "t") should be a redirect towards Chris Elliott; compare to the recent move request for Courtney Cox. Steel1943 (talk) 02:47, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. A hatnote is fine to resolve the above issue. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:00, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Agree that a hatnote between the two articles is enough to resolve the misspelling. I don't think the Courteney Cox RM is comparable due to WP:ONEOTHER. WPscatter t/c 16:17, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Never knew WP:ONEOTHER existed until now, but after reading it ... I would say that citing WP:ONEOTHER as a reason to support or oppose a proposal without context is as useful as citing WP:SMALLDETAILS without context: Both of these guidelines could be used to support or oppose their basic premise without explaining why one side of the guideline is preferred over the other, and I don't see any such context here. • Support per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 16:42, 22 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nomination, Necrothesp, WPscatter and Ortizesp. There are ten bulleted entries listed upon the Christopher Elliott disambiguation page, with standalone main title headers for Christy Elliott, Christy Elliot and Christie Elliott. Thus, a standalone header indicating simply Chris Elliot, with an explanatory hatnote, would likewise be the more intuitive resolution for the dab page's sole female listing. The Chris elliot redirect, which currently flows to Chris Elliott should be either repositioned to the RAF officer or deleted. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 00:19, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
