Original and Simplified Characters[edit]

The 延宝 era (1673~) wasn't actually written as 延宝 at the time; it was originally written as 延寳, but the second character was simplified around the WWII era. I added a photo of a 1674 gravestone showing this 寳 form to the Enpō page, and added a note to that page and this List page that 延宝 was formerly written as 延寳. That's all fine, but I strongly suspect that such notations should be made for all era names that include 宝, and any other simplified character. Jfriedl (talk) 03:27, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
