How many Platforms?[edit]

Please someone, add number of platforms to Railway station layout.

There are presently 12 platforms at NDLS, but the station is undergoing big renovation. --Sayed Mohammad Faiz Haider Rizvi (talk) 11:12, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Locating the place to buy tickets[edit]

Dear Wikipedians, I visited the station yesterday, being a visitor from England, and found it really hard to locate the place to buy tickets. So I updated the article to include this information, so that others may be spared this trouble. Even the BBC World Service correspondant had lots of trouble finding it, so this is certainly needed information. If someone thinks this information should be in another article, fine, so long as there is a link from here to point to it, as this is the natural place to go for it. But someone with angry socks (apparently) simply deleted the whole thing. Wikipedia is a place to keep USEFUL information, so that people can find it. There is actually very little useful about the article so far, except the part I wrote. Sure, if you want to do homework, it's useful. For grown ups, not really. I object to the removal of highly useful, badly needed information from any article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.89.61.127 (talkcontribs) 10:10, January 6, 2010‎

Please note that Wikipedia is not a travel guide. Information such as you describe is more appropriate on Wikivoyage, which is a travel guide. Slambo (Speak) 12:45, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New Delhi Railway station: second busiest in India[edit]

I sincerely doubt that New Delhi Railway Station is the second busiest - Howrah, Churchgate station Mumbai and CSTM are far more busy. Even the Delhi Main Station (Old Delhi) handles more passengers. The New Delhi station mostly handles all Rajdhanis and Shatabdi Express trains. Could we have some reference? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tinpisa (talkcontribs) 17:00, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
