Should a crisis last more than a few days, it is possible that no one will have been declared the victor prior to January 20, and in that case, the Speaker of the House would become acting president, they would be inaugurated. There may be several inaugurations and up to five different people possibly taking the oath of office. These include:

It's NOT original research. It's mentioned in all those books and articles I've cited....and besides, the only person to ever take down that stuff was @Tartan357, who is not "many editors." If those four scenarios are not original research, then please put the source you got them from at the end of that information. The 1947 Presidential Succession Act has never been invoked & there's been arguments over how it would be implemented. Don't move this to mainspace until and unless we show a Biden win at 2020 United States presidential election, in accordance with the discussion on sourcing requirements on that talk page. I was going to start a Planned presidential transition of Joe Biden article. Similar to the Planned presidential transition of Donald Trump page that was created on May 7, 2016 before it was renamed after he won. And similar to Planned presidential transition of Hillary Clinton that was created on July 31, 2016 before she lost and that page was redirected. And similar to the Planned presidential transition of Mitt Romney article that has remained. Seeing the similar content here (especially 188.182.13.127's attempts to clean up the draft), I'm tempted to arrange to publish this draft under the Planned presidential transition of Joe Biden title if it were not for these OR complaints here regarding the previous edits in the page history. Because if I start the Planned presidential transition of Joe Biden now separately in the mainspace, it would be more likely that page would be moved to the Planned presidential transition of Joe Biden spot should Biden win and this draft would be overlooked/ignored. Consider that multiple RS state Biden has won the election (it's on the enWP main page, in fact, which has very strict standards) I have accepted the article. If anyone wants to rename it asPresidential transition..... I have no objctions, but i'm not going to get involved in that. There's a bit of a problem with the naming[edit]

Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign page redirect[edit]

I have noticed that the "Joe Biden 2020 presidential campaign" redirects here. This shouldn't be the case. For example, the Donald Trump 2016 presidential campaign page does not redirect to the Presidential transition of Donald Trump page. DanJWilde (talk) 18:36, 7 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The Draft wasn't that bad[edit]

I moved everything from the draft article. I was invited to. Feel free to pick it apart as much as you want, and if it winds up looking nothing like I conceived it, Great! The flailing of the outgoing administration is going to be a major part of the transition and the nightmare scenarios were a major part of the campaign.

The Title[edit]

Arglebargle79, Its there because there were two articles, one of which duplicated this one improperly, so I redirected Presidential transition of Joe Biden to here. If there is consensus that it should be at the title without planned, I can put it back, but because it is technically difficult I will hold off until several folks have chimed in at least. Talks to change article name to Presidential transition of Joe Biden[edit]

How do we update the title? It's already made clear that Trump has lost to Biden and Biden is currently the president-elect for 46th US president.
