Judea mentioned in the opening lines of the "Scroll of Antiochus"[edit]

Perhaps it would be worthwhile to mention in this Timeline that the word "Yehud" - יהוד (Aramaic for the country "Judea") is mentioned in the Aramaic Scroll of Antiochus, written, according to Rabbi Saadia Gaon, by the disciples of the School of Hillel and the School of Shammai sometime in the early 1st century CE. Likewise, the Mishnah, compiled by Rabbi Judah the Prince in 189 CE mentions the same country of "Judea" by its Hebrew name, "Yehudah" (Heb. יהודה), and he goes so far as to define its boundaries.Davidbena (talk) 21:35, 8 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
