Tsekami is a Kwakwaka'wakw ancestor. He is the beginning of the Kwikwasutinuxw First Nation, who reside in Gilford Island, British Columbia, Canada. It is said, Tsekami came out of a tree in Bond Sound, British Columbia, Canada and became human. Later, while fishing in Viner Sound, British Columbia, Tsekami saw Kolus, the younger brother of Thunderbird and befriended him. Tsekami's daughter Tsigililakw, married Kulus and had children. The Kwikwasutinuxw First Nation descends from these early ancestors. Tsekami has Sisiyutl, a giant three-headed sea serpent, as one of his crests.
