Hi there! I hope you're doing well in this time of international health crisis. Thanks for adding some of the public domain images from Japan to the English Wikipedia. Do you edit the Japanese Wikipedia, by chance? We don't have many editors on the English Wikipedia who speak Japanese, so that's why I wanted to start a dialogue with you. Our coverage of Japanese typhoons is decent, but could certainly be better, as we often rely on Google translate (which isn't perfect). ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 15:42, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there, I noticed you've been creating lots of articles lately, but most of them are just copies of what was already in the season article. Do you have any intention of working on any of these articles any further? Most of them are stubs, and could easily be merged back into the season article they were split out of, although a few of them I'm sure can sustain articles. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 02:10, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for July 20[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Wayne (given name), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wayne Kramer (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

August 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello. I wanted to let you know that in your recent contributions to Typhoon Kathleen, you seemed to act as if you were the owner of the page. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. This means that editors do not own articles, including ones they create, and should respect the work of their fellow contributors. If you create or edit an article, remember that others are free to change its content. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. I apologize that i moved your article (which formerly was a redirect created by me - thus that article was in my watchlist and drawn me to see what you are doing), but you should not say something like "Do not move to the draft without permission". I moved your article because with the way you styled the article i quickly jumped to the conclusion that your article is not ready. This is why i moved it to the draft space. I will not move your article again as i acknowledge that was a mistake, but please beware that Wikipedia is not a site where you can own articles. I have created many articles on my own hands, some of them are currently in the draft space, but i never took my role as the owner in these articles seriously and i won't move my drafts to mainspace until it is submitted to review. I'm proud that you created many articles that i will never do, but i'm sending this note because there is something wrong with you (owning articles). Please learn from this note, do not do it again and move on. Keep up your good work and welcome to the Wikipedia! SMB99thx Email! 11:48, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Draft:Typhoon Kathleen a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Typhoon Kathleen. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Typhoon Lingling (2019), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Also, Lingling doesn't deserve an article. 🐔 Chicdat Bawk to me! 11:18, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Tennessee floods" listed at Redirects for discussion[edit]

A discussion is taking place to address the redirect Tennessee floods. The discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 August 23#Tennessee floods until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. August 2020[edit]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as you did at Typhoon Lingling (2019), you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. 🐔 Chicdat Bawk to me! 10:07, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not create new articles by copy-and pasting information from the season article. It may seem cool to create so many articles, but doing so sloppily and creating stubs are frowned upon. You may want to create drafts before creating real articles. Thank you. ~ Destroyeraa🌀 21:52, 24 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you move a page disruptively. Per WP:RPP. SMB99thx my edits 00:37, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Chicdat, @Destroyeraa: This person AFAIK appears to continously (i want to say this is obvious, but whatever) ignoring warnings. How we should do about it? Recently, I sent a final warning on the user (I hope they will get it - and I made this decision on RPP) instead of sending this user to ANI. I do not want to go draconian against this user, as this user is one of the more active and productive users in ja.wiki. I hope they are doing right thing from this point on, but it's possible that they will repeat the same problems this user faces. SMB99thx my edits 00:45, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry. I was just editing it because I thought it was good.--台風14号 (talk) 00:56, 25 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
