January 2021[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Wilton Daniel Gregory. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. The issue of Catholic vs. Roman Catholic has been discussed extensively on Wikipedia. Read WP:CONSENSUS. You need to get consensus on the talk pages in which you change Roman Catholic to Catholic. You can't unilaterally decide to make this change. Sundayclose (talk) 01:00, 20 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Roman Catholic[edit]

Please stop removing "Roman" from articles which designate Roman Catholics or Roman Catholicism. The practice on Wikipedia is to use "Roman" to denote the Latin Church, as opposed to Eastern Catholicism. See User:Drmies/Roman Catholic? and Roman Catholic (term). I see you have been already informed about your changes on St. Thomas Cathedral Basilica, Chennai. Please, stop. Otherwise you may lose editing privileges for edit warring. Mosesheron (talk) 04:47, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I just undid a similar change on Ruy López de Segura. Please stop doing this, BobEret (talk) 20:32, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 47.215.22.174, has made edits that do not conform to our policies and therefore have been reverted. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

You don't have to log in to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

October 2021[edit]

Hi, please refrain from statements as "Catholics choose not to identify themselves as "Roman," which they regard as a pejorative preface used mostly by Protestants" or "Catholics regard the preface "Roman" to be pejorative." as this is simply not true. Please refrain also from changing related passages in articles in that way. Thank you.--Medusahead (talk) 09:28, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've blocked you for disruptive edits -- specifically, editing other people's talk page comments. Don't do that. If you request unblock (using the instructions provided), and promise not to do it again, either I or someone else will unblock you. I hope you recognize it is impossible to have honest communication if you edit someone else's comments. Antandrus (talk) 19:59, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
