Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice[edit]

Hi,

As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.

We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.

You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.

We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

Hi. Since I've noticed you speak Faroese (and even lived on Faroe Islands), could you tell me what happened with the remaining Formuladeildin 2008 matches that should have been played on October 25 and when they will be played? Thanks, bye. SonjiCeli (talk) 16:29, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Sorry about the delay but I haven't noticed that you started a discussion. My point of view can be seen on the talk page, and I hope we can make a general opinion on this until the 2009 UEFA Champions League Final. Bye! SonjiCeli (talk) 22:30, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Posted another one! SonjiCeli (talk) 23:23, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(I've tried to post this to the page but it keeps crashing on me - I'll try it here as an alternative) If you mean the one on the bottom of page 42 I really think you are over-reaching what it says there. The suggestion above pretty much fulfils that annex (maybe we would have CW52-53+3rdN22-27 -> Q2 instead). Even more so considering that if Everton lose the FA Cup you would see exactly the opposite occur, that is an incredible leap in priority given to a side that is not a domestic cup winner!!! Hi! Thanks for catching my mistake regarding the Republic of Ireland! Much appreciated :-) Tjtenor4 (talk) 22:57, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. just saw you're a 'Spurs fan... that's unfortunate. Gooner pride!! ;-) Tjtenor4 (talk) 23:03, 28 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

UEL and UCL 2009-10[edit]

In qualifying rounds for these two competitions, is seeding determined by country coefficient or by club coefficient? I'm asking this because one editor has recently put teams as seeded and unseeded, although there are many leagues where teams who will enter in UEL and UCL are not known. Thanks, bye! SonjiCeli (talk) 09:57, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

UEL 2010-11[edit]

Sorry to bother you again, but please check out the bottom of this talk page and have your say. Bye! SonjiCeli (talk) 20:54, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Could you put the details for this match please. Mr Hall of England (talk) 12:09, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

UEFA CL and EL Play-off round sub-article discussion[edit]

I'm going to invite you to join the discussion about if we should make a individual sub-article for the UEFA Champions League and Europa League. Welcome to provide us some idea. Raymond Giggs 08:15, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

"FYR"[edit]

Hello, please check out the naming guideline at WP:NCMAC. We no longer use "FYR" in these contexts. The same change has been made a while ago in the various country/flag templates used in sports competition articles – all match records, results tables and so on now use plain "Macedonia". BTW, just in case, please be aware that there's an Arbcom-imposed general 1RR restriction on Macedonia-related naming edits, so we need to be cautious about these edits. File:2009–10 UEFA CL0.PNG[edit]

Yes, thanks the gray color is better.

Color for 5 countries there because I'm remaking this map from map for UEFA EL 2009-10.

2010 qualification[edit]

Regarding Group C template in CAF confederation, I thought it's necessary to say if...were applied...because the Away goals rule is applied now in the other confederations. Thanks--Maher A. A. Abdussalam (talk) 23:43, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2010 FIFA World Cup page protection[edit]

I requested protection at RPP, at least all the IP vandalism will stop. The page may need a bit of cleanup in case vandalism was missed. Thanks for helping to revert the vandalism. Momo san Gespräch 19:17, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

2009–10 UEFA Champions League[edit]

Since you are an experienced Wikipedian, I shouldn't have to remind you of Wikipedia's policies on edit warring, and civility. Refering to another user's edit as "rape" is definately out of line. That being said, I invite you to join the discussion on issue (trivial as it may be) on the talk page. Cheers. Sir Sputnik (talk) 20:48, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chaves and UEL eligibility[edit]

Hi, have you heard anything that Chaves, finalists of the 2009–10 Taça de Portugal, are not eligible for the UEFA Europa League? At least that is what a couple of edits on the Portuguese Liga suggested. The club is a second division side, if that helps. --Soccer-holicI hear voices in my head... 18:02, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Atletico Madrid[edit]

Would the 7th place team not get in if Atletico Madrid win the Europa League? Kingjeff (talk) 19:47, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

But that would leave an empty spot somewhere. If they win the Europa League and the Copa Del Rey, they go into the Group Stage and a place in the Playoff round is empty. If they win the Europa League and lose the Copa del Rey, then a place in the 3rd qualifying round is empty.
I saw in a news article somewhere that if Fulham wins the Europa League, England will get an 4th team in the Europa League and 8th team in Europe overall. Kingjeff (talk) 20:08, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It wasn't about the fair play stuff. The article clearly stated thaty if Fulham wins the Europa League, it will have no impact on Liverpool getting into the Europa League. To make the story simple, If Fulham wins the Europa League, they'll be England's 8th club in Europe. If England gets a fair play award, then they'll get a 9th club in Europe. You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 02:31, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kerzhakov[edit]

About this http://en.archive.uefa.com/competitions/euro2012/history/season=2008/round=2241/match=83930/index.html

I do not what to say, it's so difficult question will not help video recording. RSSSF site writes - 2 goals Kerzhakov. As I wrote you in all of Europe will never be able to establish the truth in this matter. Because each author on any web site believes that only he has written is true. The fact that a problem exists, no one wants to understand. The main thing is not to erase the problem and give people the opportunity to see and realize the fact that this problem exists. http://www.rsssf.com/tables/08e-det.html#qual 24 March 2007 Estonia – Russia 0-2 66’,78’ A. Kerzhakov 0-1, 0-2 You can give your opinion, but you can not convince on this issue as a site RSSSF and other sites http://rus.worldfootball.net/spielbericht/em-qualifikation-2006-2007-gruppe-e-estland-russland/#redirect Russian Football Union (RFU)- in Russia for all books in this game, two goals scored Kerzhakov. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=ru&sl=ru&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Frfs.stats.sportbox.ru%2Fgames.php%3Fsp%3Dfb%26turnir%3D183%26tour%3D7%26game%3D1155533148

You can never be deleted and remove this goal from a career and player statistics. For all statistical football site both goals assigned Kerzhakov., I wrote the very same Wikipedia page, the player writes two 2 goals Kerzhakov. But you can not fix anything on the page Kerzhakov. All your changes will be erased and your arguments do not convince anyone. --Gavrilov Sergey (talk) 20:41, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
