New Pages[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I appreciate your eagerness to contribute to our encyclopedia, but I would like to encourage you to check out Wikipedia:How to write a great article. Currently, you are placing a lot of links on new pages that give only a sentence or two of information about the subject. The key to writing a good article is content. Use the sources you cite to write your own article telling everyone about those subjects. (Just don't copy and paste it from other sources because we have to respect the copyright status of those sources.) If you have any questions or comments, feel free to me a message. --ZsinjTalk 05:19, 6 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Madonal-CBS-60Minutes.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Madonal-CBS-60Minutes.JPG. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Rebelguys2 talk 21:45, 7 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Unterlanders Heimweh[edit]

I have nominated Unterlanders Heimweh, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Unterlanders Heimweh. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. PROD nomination of Chance[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Chance (muskox), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

WP:NN Not sufficiently notable. All references come from a single Canadian news source - was this even picked up by US news stations?

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Barghest (Dungeons & Dragons)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Barghest (Dungeons & Dragons), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

not enough coverage in sources independent of D&D

AfD nomination of Chance (muskox)[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Chance (muskox). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chance (muskox). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:20, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I hate to bother you, but do you have any references to prove this radical organization is notable? Is it also possible to tone it down? This article has many serious issues. Bearian (talk) 23:00, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I went ahead and added some more sources about Saving Iceland to the article. I think this should be sufficient to establish notability. I don't have a lot of time to edit Wikipedia nowadays, so if you'd like to help out by improving the wording and tone of the article, feel free. --Amanojyaku (talk) 20:33, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
