Don't smear my talk page with cyrilicBigz 00:11, 31 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I had no idea that you could not read Cyrillic. There is no indication of this. I may be excused for thinking that you could since you belong to a project based on a country to which Cyrillic is used co-officially. Either way, it is not important now. If you do not like the content, I take no offence in you removing it permanently from your talk page. I do however take offence when people remove my contributions as you did on Haris Silajdzic. I have restored it, but in a way that I have not interfered with your edits. You only have the right to remove passages if they are forms of vandalism; I do not vandalise nor disrupt talk pages with nonsense. If the details are erroneous, you may edit them replacing incorrect details with correct details by proving sources. If the details are correct but do not belong on that page, you may "move" the passage onto the relevant page. As for "dumb observation", just because you feel this information is dumb, it does not automaticly mean that all Wikipedians do. If the content is that bad, I am sure others will remove it, but given that nobody has touched the Nebojsa Radmanovic page which has the same passage in reflection, I may assume that it is not considered irrelevant. Many articles have "Trivia" sections. These may be kept at the bottom of the page after all serious writing is out of the way, these may include such observations. I mean who actually cares about Milo Djukanovic being over 1,90cm tall? He is only a country leader now, not a basketball player any more. The Silajdzic page is biographical, and as information about his life emerges, it may be placed on the article. The Trivia, along with other trivial features can go on the end. If you have a problem with this, good luck in deleting ALL Trivia sections on all articles, you will however lose that battle. If you remove my contributions again then I will report your actions as vandalism. Евлекис October 31, 2006

Mostar[edit]

Please do not fraudulently add {{featured article}} to articles that aren't featured, as you did to Mostar. It is harmful to Wikipedia's reputation when a bad article is falsely presented to readers as being one of Wikipedia's best. --estavisti 17:19, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks,[edit]

Yes I try to keep the neutrality in the articles. Just so you know Bosanski Brod and Bosanska Kostajnica are official and are even said so by the government of RS. Also, do not forget that names for cases like Dubica are important as well. Both happen to be applicable for Bosanska Dubica. Stop!~[edit]

Please stop creating articles such as Nikola Špirić if you cannot add the proper sort keys so that the articles are indexed properly in categories. I fixed that one. Go back and fix any others you have messed up the same way. Gene Nygaard 18:11, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Categorization#Category sorting, which explains how the sort keys work. They look like piping in a wikilink, but don't work the same way. And this edit where I fixed the one mentioned above. Gene Nygaard 00:08, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Zabih.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Zabih.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fair use rationale for Image:SDAflag.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SDAflag.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 10:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:SvenAlkalaj.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SvenAlkalaj.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Unspecified source for Image:JablanicaGrb.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:JablanicaGrb.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Hi Bigz!
We thank you for uploading Image:SvenAlkalaj.jpg, but there is a problem. Your image is currently missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. Unless you can help by adding a copyright tag, it may be deleted by an Administrator. If you know this information, then we urge you to add a copyright tag to the image description page. We apologize for this, but all images must confirm to policy on Wikipedia.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

Unknown source of File:PSBiH.jpg[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on File:PSBiH.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because File:PSBiH.jpg is an image with unknown source or unknown copyright status which has been tagged as unknown for more than 7 days (CSD I4).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting File:PSBiH.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Copyright problems with File:Petrovac.jpg[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Petrovac.jpg, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.geocities.com/alemjag/razglednica6_copy.JPG. As a copyright violation, File:Petrovac.jpg appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Petrovac.jpg has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at File talk:Petrovac.jpg and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at File talk:Petrovac.jpg with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you hold the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on File talk:Petrovac.jpg.

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Martin H. (talk) 07:23, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of File:Mostar1.jpg[edit]

A tag has been placed on File:Mostar1.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

user seems not to recognize the difference between "public" and "public domain"

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:File:Mostar1.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

I know, that this uploads are old, but after you (maybe) now learned what copyright is, you should help with deletion instead of dooing nothing to your old wrong uploads. --Martin H. (talk) 07:28, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Mostarlocation.gif[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Mostarlocation.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Image permission problem with Image:BorisTrajkovski CrashSite.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:BorisTrajkovski CrashSite.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Martin H. (talk) 07:49, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.bhdca.gov.ba/eng/index.php does not say anything of public domain. Maybe you mixed up again "public" with "public domain"?? The first describes that you can see the image, in this case for no cost, the second term describes that you can reuse the image, without any legal restrictions. Thats completely different... --Martin H. (talk) 07:52, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:BiHVisaRequirements.png[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:BiHVisaRequirements.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 00:30, 10 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Raffi Gregorian. Our verifiability policy requires that all content be cited to a reliable source. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:28, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Bigz! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 943 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Mladen Ivanković-Lijanović - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Stjepan Kljuić - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Bigz, you are invited![edit]

I noticed that you are the creator of the article about the University of Tuzla. I was thinking you could add something about Bosnian universities, as we are seeking to share information. --Comparativist1 (talk) 22:11, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:32, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
